I went the Prince Frederick store January 16th to exchange a necklace that my 11 year old granddaughter received as a Christmas gift on January 12th. Due to Covid and a severe snow storm, family could not get together. I only wanted to exchange it due to it being broken when she opened the box. I spoke to a young man at the front of the store, he then called another tall skinny young man. When he came to the front, he stated no receipt, no exchange or refund, he didnāt even make eye contact with me and proceeded to walk away. At this point I asked for a manager. She came up, I explain what the issue was, that I did not have the receipt because someone else had bought it but the price tag was in the box. At this time the tall young man came back with a statement off the jewelry counter stating some rules about no receipt, no return. I try to explain that when I bought some bracelets there before, I never even went to the counter to see this sign, because these types of jewelry were on side round stands not in the showcase. I told her the tag was inside the box. At this point she stated because it was not still attached to necklace that was another violation to the rules! Who gives a gift and leaves the price tag on??? Ridiculous rule for a request for exchange I knew going in that without a receipt I couldnāt get refund which I did not want. I then stated I will never shop there ever again and will be canceling my card. I was trying to exchange a Christmas gift for my granddaughter. Her aunt could not find the receipt but found the price tag. Itās not like it was expensive but itās the point of getting a broken gift and not being able to exchange it at what I use to think was a respectable store. If this is a policy of TJ Maxx or any of your associated stores, I will never shop at any of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis particular TJ Maxx is OK at best. Iāve noticed the prices of the same exact items are a few dollars less at Ross or Marshalls. They clearance isnāt much of a clearance they might take a dollar off. Nice thing is they have nice purses their shoe selection is horrible. I have never seen as many ugly shoes as Iāve seen inside this TJ Maxx. The only thing good they had gone for Halloween this year was that had really cute ghosts. Iām pretty much thatās all they had was ghosts. A big skeleton pillow a pillow, maybe a few skull heads and a couple of signs that say, boo. But they did have the cutest most unique ghosts and about 100 of them this year kind of disappointed actually Iāve been into some pretty good TJ Maxx in this one to impress me at all. The staff is nice and on top of things for the most part. Itās not crazy messy but definitely lacking effort to say the least on the shelf selection. There was minimal things on the shelves when there used to be so much more and so much more variety. I donāt know what happened, but I guess they donāt carry the brands that they used to seems. They just stuck with Michael Kors, guest, and Calvin Klein. I could be wrong, but I feel like they had much more of a high-end selection than they do now and forget it if you want help us to counter...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSuper safety precautions were in place even as I entered the store. My cart was sanitized before given to me (thanksāŗļø) there were staff walking around to monitor customers and hand sanitizer visable throughout the store. I grabbed some new pillows, candles & yummy looking tea to try. Also I was able to pick my sister up a few birthday gifts because of the great clearance prices. The manager was visable throughout the check out experiences of all guests and continuously checked on the staff to assure safety and efficiencies while also acting as back up incase they needed anything. The staff were also very precautious plexiglass barriers separated the staff as well as each customer/register. The cashier's also wipe the counter and credit card machines down before allowing another customer to come forward. I was in and out of the store quickly and was satisfied with all of my purchased items! I will visit again in the...
