Simple Pleasures should really be called Extraordinary Pleasures. It is without a doubt my favorite shop in America. I do have a couple of others in Paris and Amsterdam, but it's a bit more difficult to get to them. Every morning when I get dressed, I ask myself what wonderful piece I should put on that came from Simple Pleasures: pants, tops, dresses, jewelry, scarves, tote bags--not to mention fountain pens, greeting cards, journals, baby goodies, and more. Just as cool as the merchandise is the tiny little antique building that houses the store. It's like something out of Alice in Wonderland. Shop attendant was a large white haired lady with glasses. I said to her "How are you?" She replied with a cold 🥶 "good." No inquiry as to how I, the customer, was doing. Rude! Seems to be a consistent theme with reviews of this store. Too bad really. I've lived in the PVD area for almost a decade and always wanted to visit this shop. Incredibly disappointing. I passed on the beautiful lavender baroque pearl earrings I fell in love with. You behave like a loser, you lose sales! Not worth the visit, your time or money.
