Here is a real good, upscale restaurant that is a nice alternative to the typical college-town food found on Wickendon Street. There is a large variety of beers both on-tap and bottled, and many different whiskys and other beverages available, too. If the weather is nice, sit out back on their patio, a very comfortable, fenced-off area with lots of fresh air.
We had the crostadas as an appetizer, followed by the pork sliders and a garden salad with smoked bluefish for entrees. My companion said that her sliders were a little bit dry (she asked for mayo to help), but my salad was phenomenal. I'm a big fan of smoked fish, so I chose that over the grilled chicken option.
The service was a little on the slow side for a not-so-busy Saturday afternoon, but there was also a large party inside near the bar. Definitely check this place...
Read moreCame here on a whim with some friends and was pleasantly surprised. I would recommend a reservation because it is small in there. We ended up sitting outdoors on the patio. It was chilly but this patio would be fantastic in the summer months! Our waiter was okay nothing to write home about he went MIA a few different times. Besides that the food was great the menu has a nice variety and unique dishes. I got the friend chicken sandwich which is open faced I would for sure get that again. Friends got the crunch wrap which looked fantastic and the chicken lollipops. As a group we got oysters that were very fresh. The drinks were fantastic and I recommend the El Diblito had a spice to it that was perfect. Overall I would come back and sit on the patio when the...
Read moreWe finally tried this place! Before Covid it was very difficult to get in here. I didn't like the duck Reuben. French onion soup was seasoned with sage or tarragon, which seems to be a strange trend everywhere we go lately. For the size of the serving, the FOS was expensive. (Red Stripe's is better, larger portion, and half the price). Whiskey selection was impressive and was one of the reasons we were there and oddly not mentioned by our waitress. My date had to ask for a whiskey list and about tasting flights. The whiskey list was so extensive that the print was tiny and truly illegible to read. Great atmosphere. Service was solid. We'll be back. If you had a TV somewhere for football, my boyfriend and his whiskey club friends would visit...
