I want to preface this by saying that it was definitely very busy, and itâs a Sunday. That being said, thereâs a difference between being busy and being blatantly rude and negligent to customers. We were told that we could sit fairly quickly based on how busy it was but we sat there waiting for a server to come over for 15-20 minutes. My bf and I both ordered lattes, water, and our food all at once. Waitress comes over with ONE of the lattes (my latte) about 10-15 minutes after that. She drops it off quickly without saying anything or giving us a chance to see about my bfâs drink. We wait another 20 minutes and she delivers coffees to the table next to us and she finally notices that my bf didnât get his drink. The waitress asks him what he ordered again and he tells her. She then walks away and comes back and asks him to tell her again what he ordered. (It was just a plain latte with sugar btw). We wait another 10 minutes for the latte, and when she drops it off, my bf asks about the waters which she says sheâll grab for us. We never ended up getting those waters lol but I couldâve lived without that.
The food also took a very long time which is understandable because they have to cook it and itâs busy. But the omelettes we ordered were dry and tasted weird. I couldnât even eat mine. Home fries were like soft potatoes with very minimal seasoning and were very cold. Ordered an English muffin and asked for jelly with it. Did not get the jelly or even butter so I ate a plain, cold English muffin. Also the food was served on styrofoam plates with plastic silverware. The waitress did not check on us even once.
I wasnât sure if we were supposed to go up to the counter and pay and at that point I just wanted to leave so I very nicely asked a barista who was up front if we pay up there or wait at the table and she gave me a dirty look and extremely rudely said âuhh, I donât knowâ and I was just like âokayâ and I laughed. Food and service not worth the price and amount of time youâll spend waiting. We wouldâve spent less time (and enjoyed our food more) than waiting around at the breakfast spot across the street that had a 45 minute wait. 1 star because the coffee was actually pretty good...
Read moreCaspianâs breakfast and lunch has an incredible atmosphere and pretty good service! The owner/chef was friendly and I went into the meal with high hopes! Located across the street from Brickway on Wickendon and pulling a similar amount of customers, we decided to try it for brunch. Our drinks arrived and they were delicious! Based only on the drinks I would elevate my ratings to at least 4 stars. However, the food was some of the most forgettable Iâve ever eaten. Everything was either bland or boringly standard. It felt like I was eating ONLY boiled pasta while eating the orzo salad and the tzatziki sauce tasted more more like sour cream. The breakfast foods were remarkably average. They felt homemade in the sense I could have made it at home. For cheaper. Overall, if you are in the mood for a quick, solid, breakfast, Caspians is your place. But if you are searching for anything more than that, I would...
Read moreThe young man behind the counter was very courteous. The atmosphere was nice and there was wifi. The price of what I ordered was reasonable. The hot chocolate was not good at all. No flavor what so ever and it was almost cold when i got it. I ordered the blueberry pancake combo which comes with 2 very thin pancakes, eggs, potatoes, and fruit. The most appetizing thing on the plate were the sliced fruit that came on the side. Seriously the fruit was the best thing on the plate. I only give it 2 stars because the owner left 2 young girls in charge of the cafe after he left and they were not very welcoming to guest after he left. Also 2 stars because the food and hot chocolate were not good. My advice would be to hire an experienced cook and have actual...
