I frequent this location - so far 99% of the employees have bee outstanding! Helpful, friendly, informative and most of all, very kind!
I come almost every week and buy supplements for the entire family, protein and more. They have a huge selection of clean buys!
Today, was such a bummer.
I first went online to check out some new flavors of a protein I love, and online everything said out of stock, no shipping, no store pick up. So I figured maybe it was an error and I would call and ask an employee if they had any in store. As soon as this employee picked up, I explained online it said there was nothing, but wanted to check before heading in, she said she doesn’t control the website or online and I would need to call customer service, I told her that wasn’t where I was going with my question, I simply was wondering if it was in fact in store, she said, I will tell you I have a lot but like I said I can’t control our website.
Might I add, I have had a few phone interactions with her, over the last 8 months or so (I only remember because I called specifically about prenatal vitamins - prior) and she was so mean. I was hormonal and pregnant at the time and thought it was just me 😭
I was wrong, because today, she was the same way when I was asking a very simple question. I told her, you know ma’am, every time I have had to interact with you, you have been so very rude. She said to me have a nice day and hung up on me..
To be honest, maybe this is just the way of the world anymore. But I am shocked. The employees here have always been great and I don’t want to discredit them, for the one bad apple.
You never know what somebody is going through. I had to move around many things to then drive here today, to get protein. I really wish you were more kind, respectful, at least answer when I politely asked you for your name.
I went in to the store about 20 minutes later, the manager Shannon was busy helping customers, I saw a young lady and a man who helped me, I mentioned it and said I would call back. Not sure who it was? But I sure would like to know, so I can avoid asking her any questions in the future.
I believe she would benefit from being retrained in customer service skills and how to interact with people. I mean this is a store that serves the people.

Read moreThe cashier today was polite to me and to the gentleman before me. However, she was quite rude to a black, elderly woman in front of the gentleman. She was distracted momentarily and then asked the cashier a question about the product she was buying. After being treated with impatience and a curt tone, the elderly woman finished her transaction appearing a little rattled and apologized to the cashier as she walked away. The cashier never apologized to her for her own rude behavior and I think she should have.Then the cashier was quite lovely with both the gentleman and me. The rest of us were white and younger, by the way. So was the cashier treating the first customer poorly because of her race or her age or both? I hope the company would conduct some training on treating all customers in the same dignified manner. If I witness this behavior again at any location, I will end my membership and share my experiences publicly. I hope what I saw today...
Read moreThe selection and amount of inventory is nice and convenient, that is a plus. The store is clean and spacious compared to the The Vitamin Shoppe across the way.
The two stars are for the vibe and demeanor the clerk exhibited. He seemed to be uncomfortable with the presence of my boyfriend and I. I wonder if it’s because we were wearing hoodies? Shouldn’t matter. It’s cold outside and no one should go cold while worrying about what a store clerk’s perspective and impression might be. Even if it wasn’t cold, this is America and there were no signs stating that hoodies weren’t welcomed.
I’m a member of the Healthy Awards program and spend a good amount of money within the company. I shouldn’t have to feel watched while shopping, especially after already indicating that I didn’t need any assistance!
