Not the most honest workers when the busboy/waiter steals a wedding ring from a Coronavirus related widow. The waitress Anne was very friendly yesterday. She told me her sister lives near San Francisco after I said I was visiting from California to help my older sister because my brother-in-law passed away 5 months ago from Covid-19. Food was fresh but gave me the runs less than an hour later & unfortunately my sister removed her wedding ring to use the provided disposable gloves that are used to eat the cajun shrimp. After eating we both got up to use the restroom & when we returned the dirty dishes & half full cups of sodas were gone & the table was wiped clean. Unfortunately the wedding ring which was a huge diamond solitaire on a white gold band was left on the table & my sister forgot about it until late last night. To make matters worse the restaurant didn't open until 3pm today. I immediately called & spoke to same nice waitress who said neither of the 2 men that would've cleaned up mentioned or turned in the ring. She also said because of the messy meals it's common for guests to forget hand jewelry on the table so they(employees) know to always check table before cleaning up. That made me furious because it proves the employee was dishonest & stole the ring instead of returning it to the restaurant manager. It's horrible that this happened to a grieving widow. When filing a police report the officer said that there have been other reports against this business for similar incidents. The owner claims cameras show that ring was never removed which is even more of an insult since I personally seen my sister remove it & place it on her right side of he table. She initially tried putting on a glove with it on but the big diamond tore it so she was forced to remove it before putting on a new glove. The management of this restaurant is a disgrace for lying to cover up the dirty deeds of an employee committing theft. The manager welcomed us to view cameras a day later but we were not allowed to check trash containers after they suggested it may have been accidentally thrown away. According to the police officer who took our report unfortunately, video footage can be altered & again said it's not the first report of lost jewelry at...
Read moreWe decided today will be the day that we try a restaurant that we’ve never eaten at on meridian and totally enjoyed ourselves. We arrived around 11:30am and by 12:45, the restaurant was pretty much at full capacity. So if your an early person, get there when they first open. My beautiful wife and I shared the seafood combo number 1, and I had a Moscow mule, my wife, a dirty apple sour. To start, I have zero issues with the drinks. They did happen to come at the right time. When someone finally mentions how long it has been since we last ordered our drinks lol. When the food arrived, which didn’t seem to take very long, we immediately dived in and became sucked into the seasonings. All was good with the food, but I will say that (the restaurant doesn’t mention anything about fresh seafood, so no big deal.) I did notice that the food was frozen, and not fresh after sucking on the crawfish heads. Overall, all was good. To end in a positive note; the juice is so good, that you’d wish they could bottle it! We enjoyed ourselves. Oh, not a big deal, because we’re introverts, but the interaction between us and the employees was minimal, which we like. I recommend and I think the community recommends this restaurant as well. Oh one more thing lol. There music choice was pretty cool and odd T the same time. They were playing the R&B singer Joe and Marques Houston songs. I didn’t think people still listened to R&B...
Read morePlease be advised: This is not a Cajun restaurant despite its name. It is an Asian restaurant, which is fine if you are in the mood for the Asian experience and not thinking it is a Cajun place with authentic food, Zydeco music, a beer selection from New Orleans, and a wide variety of Cajun foods. Be prepared to be greeted by a gold Buddha and waitresses that set down all your drinks and food at one end of the table expecting you to distribute them yourselves (we were a party of six with kids). My brother had to ask that the waitress deliver our food to the end of the table and she acted completely put out.
We stayed and gave Boiling Crawfish a chance because it had good reviews despite being relatively new. It took 5 minutes for anyone to acknowledge our large party at the front door. We were seated and were not given menus for another 5 minutes. Our food took 25 minutes to arrive. The menu is filled with fried fish and other fried items (fried seafood sandwiches). You are also okay if you want Asian choices like noodles. But, don’t go there if you are looking for any kind of fresh fish not fried - or Cajun food for that matter.
I’m giving Boiling Crawfish 2 stars because a couple people in the party did like their fried fish baskets. The rest of us were disappointed and not only will I never go back, but I will be more careful about checking out places in the area...
