Back again and this time Adam assisted me with the purchase of a new Breightling watch. I wanted to update my review as its been several years since the last time i dealt with the company and Adam. They continue to provide excellence and professionalism. Still a life long customer! Thanks Toodie's!
Normally i wouldn't wast my time writing a review, however after my experience in dealing with this store, i had to give my praises. I am from Orlando Florida and heard about the store through my wife, who happens to have family in Boston. I had been into a couple of those Kay Jeweler type stores, and was never really happy with how i was treated...always felt like a diamond farm if you will...they just wanted my money and wanted to move on....i knew i was looking for something more custom, and when spending this amount of money, anyone wants that custom treatment, lets be honest. Thinking i would have to fly up there and pick everything out, i was happy to hear that we could make it work over the phone, email etc...ill be honest here and say that my entire transaction was done over the phone, email and even via text at times. Adam, Howie and the entire staff were amazing to deal with. Adam was prompt with all my phone calls, and overall gave me a comfort dealing with him and my transaction. I am very particular in what i want, in this case, a single solitaire engagement ring, in platinum with diamonds around the band - i got to pick out the diamond...through pictures....you can imagine the trust i had to put into Adam J. throughout this entire process. Once i settled on a diamond Adam said is "the one" it was off to the design stage of the ring. Originally, i had wanted to get a 4 prong, but my wife is a Nurse Practitioner and works with her hands a lot. After talking this over Adam gave me the confidence to go with a 6 prong to make sure this rock doesn't go anywhere. We ended up putting small diamonds around the band and i went with a platinum finish for durability. After they finished the ring, i received some pictures and was supper happy with how everything came out. I sent my final payment in and a couple of days later a ring was overnighted to my door.
It arrive packaged very well, and the ring was the most beautiful ring i personally had ever seen. It was exactly what i wanted, and i felt like i had put something together no one else would ever have. Your not going to find this in a Kay Jeweler or the like...this ring was custom!! Everything about the ring was beautiful and was exactly what i was envisioning when Adam and i first started talking. Adam...if your reading this, you were right, that diamond was "the one".
Overall, i rate this company and Adam's designing skills and knowledge as excellent. The customer service, attention to detail and professionalism he and his family gives to their clientele take it to the next level. I truly encourage anyone who is looking to buy their next piece of jewelry, engagement ring etc..to give Adam a call...he will hook you up!!
By the way, incase your wondering....she said yes! And yes, her ring steals the show every time she walks into a room.
Thanks Toodies! you have a life long customer here...
Read moreIf you're reading this and you're anywhere in the process of creating an engagement ring to propose to your girlfriend, I'm going to tell you why you should work with Adam at Toodie's in Quincy, MA. I needed a creative jeweler to begin work on one of the most important life events for me: buying my girlfriend's engagement ring. The staff at Toodie's Fine Jewelry are knowledgeable, creative and professional. Adam, one of the owners, became the three legged stool I needed to navigate the journey of making the perfect ring for my special lady. Adam listened to my ideas, met with me anytime I needed and brought the vision to life exactly as I'd imagined it. Adam is skilled in Computer Design and mocked up a shareable high quality 3D model of my ring before the process began. This was key, because it allowed me to be able to discreetly share my vision digitally with my Mom and others who know my girlfriend well, and get their feedback on the special touches I might have overlooked. This built a lot of confidence during my journey, as I was nervous and needed confirmation to act confidently and move forward with this major purchase. Once I felt comfortable, I gave Adam my diamond and he went to work. He told me the entire project would be done in just three weeks! This allowed me to focus my energy on the other parts of the proposal, and feel confident the work was being done.
Three weeks to the day, I got a text message from Adam with a stunning photo of the finished product saying, "we were good to go!" and to reach out if I had any questions. Adam made sure that check out process was easy and seamless, including the insurance appraisal for the finished product.
Toodie's made me feel like a valued customer who'd been doing business there for years, and that really stood out to me. They understood how I felt and met me where I was at and never rushed the process. They allowed me to choose the pace, and offered support where they knew they could help. That matters to a lot to me.
If you're someone who needs help finding the perfect ring for your special lady, at least stop in to Toodie's Fine Jewelry and ask for Adam, Andrew or their father, and let them know what you're looking for. These guys know what they're talking about, they're transparent and they're skilled craftsmen. I can't wait for my girl to be wearing this piece, which I hope will last a lifetime.
Thank you Adam, and the staff at Toodie's Fine Jewelry. Your support was exactly what I needed at that time. I feel super confident and can't wait to move on to the next step...
Read moreI have a 0.6 mm box chain 14k gold necklace that I was hoping to have repaired (chain broke about 5” from the clasp). Due to how fragile and fine this necklace is, I researched and knew I wanted the repair to be laser welded and not soldered. The location is a 40min drive from me but with the good reviews, personal recommendation, and since i called ahead (even explained how the drive is long and txted them pictures) and was assured via txt and over the phone that it could be laser welded I thought the drive would be worth it. At the shop, Lynne assisted me. I asked twice can you assure me it will be laser welded. The first answer: she turns to her coworker and says “i thought we couldn’t do that, weren’t we waiting on the equipment?”Lynne goes to the back comes out and gives a very ambiguous “yeah it’ll be fine.” Paperwork comes out, 56$ estimate, I ask again, “did we confirm that it can be laser welded?” She says yes, and with that I sign. Few hours later that evening Lynne calls me and says “so sorry, we can’t laser weld.” Irate, the next day I find a shop who guarantees laser welding, is closer to me, and for 30$. Clearly they don’t value customers time or money. Very unprofessional, tells me everything I need to know about any business they do here.
Dear Owner, thank you for your reply. I believe customer satisfaction comes first through being honest with customers about the services that you provide. Perhaps you have ordered the equipment today and will begin laser welding in the near future, that would put you on par with other jewelers; however, as of 2/11/2025 your associates are advertising that laser welding is not offered at your location. They did not advertise that laser welding was not the proper method to repair my chain, they stated that you DO NOT offer laser welding (two different things). False advertising is a crime. If you so surely offer laser welding, update your website, today, I dare you. Additionally, to what behavior are you referring? I came in, gave my receipt to obtain my necklace, I was complimented on my nailpolish by the associate and I replied thank you. Took my necklace and I walked out. Anything else disrespectful you'd like to mention? It seems your employee may be trying to create a sob story to cover her a**. Best of luck to you, simply trying to let other customers know you do not offer...
