Very quaint and intimate bistro. There is a little bar and some tables. Took my wife and sister out for lunch on a Friday around 1:30 and there was still seating available. My wife ordered a chicken sub and she liked it. My sister had a salad that she loved. I got a meat ball sub. Not the best I’ve had but I would go back again and try something else. They make their own sort of potato chips/fries?? Diane loved them. I wasn’t a fan. Our waitress was very nice. There’s pretty good street parking. If you can’t park on Hancock Street there is parking on the nearby side streets. I got a bourbon rocks and they weren’t stingy with the pour. Nice place with good prices. Give them a try if you’re in the neighborhood. 👍👍

Nice place, however I think we came on the day they had some shortage with staff... I think there was only one person who worked as a waitress and a cook at the same time. If that is the case, she did miracles because the place was VERY busy at lunch time. Unfortunately for us, it took about 45 minutes to get food, plus about 15 minutes for eating, which was in total way longer I could or wanted to spend on lunch. So, timewise it was stressful and not worth it. Food was good, but my burger was medium rare, instead of well done, as I wanted and way too salty. It still was acceptable, so no complains. The waitress was super nice and really did miracles there, trying to manage all craziness of a busy time.

We visited Rozafa in the afternoon and overall had a very good experience. The atmosphere was pleasant—ideal for enjoying a quiet meal—and the service was attentive and friendly. The highlight of our visit was the pizza thin, crispy dough with fresh ingredients and a delicious flavor. It’s clear they take great care in its preparation. However, we ordered octopus, and it didn’t quite win us over. The texture wasn’t ideal, and the flavor didn’t stand out, which was a bit disappointing. Despite that, if you’re looking for a great spot to enjoy pizza in the afternoon, this restaurant is an excellent choice. We’d just recommend choosing another dish instead of the octopus.

I decided to check this place out after a friend recommended it to me. I checked out Yelp and noticed a lot of the recent reviews were really poor — I thought, maybe it’s just by chance because my friend said it was good. However, I’m wishing I would have listened to Yelp.

I set up a reservation for my birthday and the singular star alone comes from the ambience — it is very cute inside and out. However, everything else about Rozafa leaves much to be desired. The cocktail list is boring and doesn’t seem to match the food menu. We ordered bruschetta as a starter and it was fine — nothing special for $14. However, before the bruschetta came out, we were served soft Italian bread with what I had honestly assumed at first was blended bruschetta. I thought it was really weird, the server didn’t tell us what it was, so I just assumed it was their take on bruschetta. Then, we find out it was hummus when the server takes it away — It’s lucky we didn’t have an allergy at our table. Then, the bruschetta is actually brought out and we are both laughing to ourselves. We order bread as a starter and you bring us other bread before that? How strange!

Finally, we get our mains. I ordered the short rib and my partner ordered the fettuccine bolognese. The short rib was terribly unseasoned and bone dry on the inside — more like beef jerky. The mashed potatoes were smashed, lumpy, and there was no hint of truffle as the menu suggests. The spinach was fine. I mean, it’s spinach. But for $30? Yikes.

The bolognese was so sweet, you couldn’t taste anything else. It seriously tasted like it came out of a can of Chef Boyardee.

Oh well. You live and you learn, and my mistake was not listening to the reviews. Save yourself and just go...

5/16/21: A friend and I went back to this restaurant; for me it was the first time in 3 years. I was curious to see if the customer service and food wait times had improved. I am very unhappy to say that they have not. Good food, it just took far-too-long to arrive, as usual. Poor customer service? Even worse now. The hostess/waitress (silver blonde hair, maybe 40's?) was unhappy to the point of hostility. The other staff seemed miserable. There was not one smile or pleasantry present anywhere. The restaurant was bustling, tips were on every table. I get that working during Covid-19 isn't fabulous, but I am not the person mistreating or under paying you. I am not your boss. I tipped 33% and won't be returning. I'm sure I can get someone miserable to try to pick a fight with me without me having to pay for the privilege. Good bye, Rozafa.

Three years ago:The food is very good but DEAR GOD is the kitchen slow! It's really not the service, because you can hear when the "order up" bell is rung. What is taking so long? I have been here multiple times and it's always the same issue, no matter how busy; it's just much worse when it's crowded. It's really too bad, because their menu is lovely, the coffee is strong and the decor is nice. They have a pretty little patio, as well. Eat here when you anticipate being hungry, but aren't actually...

Easily one of the most comfortable and enjoyable causal dining places to dine in the Q. Nice menu - especially the specials - and everything is offered at reasonable prices. It features a pleasant and comfortable setting and both regulars and newcomers are always welcome at what is a family-run neighborhood restaurant.

Razafa's features some of the best breakfast offerings in the Q on weekends, its lunch (and dinner time) take on a Reuben sandwich is a treat and be sure to try adding its marinated steak tips to a salad. And if a dinner special catches your eye, you are not likely to be disappointed.

For those who imbibe, Razafa has a solid range of beers available and a nice wine list at reasonable prices – but it does not have a hard liquor license.

Razafa is an enjoyable family-run neighborhood restaurant featuring tasty faire, with four stars fair for what is a causal bistro as opposed to a white linen fancy...
