SECONDLY, INADVERTENTLY I SELECTED YOUR NORTH HILLS LOCATION WHEN WRITING THE REVIEW. PLEASE ACCEPT MY APOLOGY. THE EXPERIENCE I ENDURED IS FOR THE ETHAN ALLEN LOCATED IN CARY. ALSO, THE IDEAS/FURNITURE WAS SUGGESTED BY THE DESIGNER AND EVEN THOUGH THERE IS A 3 DAY PERIOD TO RECONSIDER THE PURCHASE, THE DESIGNER CAME TO MY HOME AND MEASURED FOR THE RUG IN MY FOYER.

Not a happy camper with the designer from Ethan Allen in Cary, NC. Neither am I satisfied with the Corrine velvet chair that was purchased. My living room was remodeled only because my husband was trying to bring a bit of joy into my life due to the passing of my daughter in April 2024. In November 2024, I purchased the Odell Sofa, Courante Rug, Warren Round Table, Odin Round Accent Table, and Corrine Velvet Chair. These pieces arrived in February 2025. Prior to their arrival, the designer suggested that I move artwork from one room to the other, which did not work well with the furniture she suggested. Therefore, when the furniture arrived, I switched the foyer and living room art pieces, which made a huge difference. The Odell Sofa arrived with a cushion that was creased heavily in the middle. Another suggestion was to move my Persian rug from the foyer and replace the foyer with an Ethan Allen Courante rug. My Persian rug did not enhance my living room and made it appear very bland. It also did not go well with the Corrine velvet chair as my Persian rug’s colors consisted of dark navy blue, red, orange, and light green. The Corrine velvet chair, still to this day, has noticeable creases at the top center, the top sides, and bottom center located before the seat cushion. The seat cushion appears to have less “stuffing” inside to fill the top corners. The manager stated that eventually the cushion corners will fill out over time, as long as someone sits in it. She never did address the creases, which is a sore eye when entering my home, therefore I am stuck with a chair that appears to be not of good quality and used. The Corrine velvet chair also has paint missing in certain areas. The Ethan Allen Courante rug for my foyer was entirely too big and the color did not coordinate with the living room nor my office which is across from my living room. It was returned with the delivery guys. The furniture arrived in February 2025 as I had no room for storage during the holiday. I do want to thank Ethan Allen for allowing me the opportunity to use their storage facility. I feel that the designer was not very knowledgeable and due to this I ordered more furniture than needed as I already had a living room end table and coffee table, which were different colors from the two Ethan Allen tables ordered. Due to this huge disappointment of everything, on the same day the furniture arrived, I spoke with a designer at the Pottery Barn. I am well pleased with her ideas and therefore, I am enjoying my living room a bit more. This is the second bad experience I have had with Ethan Allen. A few years ago, I wrote another review regarding the color of a sectional arriving lighter than what was ordered. While in the store, I selected the swatch for the sectional and that designer also showed me a sofa in the store that was wrapped with the color of that swatch. She knew that I had requested a darker color as I informed her that I had three pets. The sectional arrived in a light color. I remember vaguely that she forgot to take the swatch with her when she ordered the sectional and retrieve a swatch and I feel that is how she made the mistake. Based on the quality and durability of two rooms of furniture that a friend purchased from Ethan Allen, my husband and I decided to shop at Ethan Allen when we needed to replace furniture in our family room. We had a consultant come to our house to help us with decisions as to which purchases and fabrics would work best, and we are very pleased with our experience. As a result, we purchased two "Emma" chairs and an area rug and pillows from Ethan Allen. If they had sold a slip-covered love seat at the time, we would have purchased it there as well, but they didn't. Our consultant suggested the red-checked rug. I never would have considered that, but everyone who comes into our home is very complimentary of that choice. Even though not our first goal, we were very delighted to find the look we wanted, but in a color scheme that none of our closest friends used. We have been very pleased with the workmanship and durability of everything as well. In fact, our last purchase was made over seven years ago, and because we've enjoyed the quality of the furniture so much, now that we are in a position to purchase more pieces, we are looking to Ethan Allen again. The chairs and rug and pillows have been lived on daily and with no special treatment, and both of the "Emma" chairs, the Karazin rug, and the pillows look just as new as they did the day they were delivered -- except where our dog tore a place in one of the arms. Let me start out by saying, I have purchased several pieces of Ethan Allen Furniture over the years. The quality is usually very good.

I purchased a king size leather head board and surrounds. I was asked to sign my life away making sure that the color of the leather I purchased, correlated with the stack number. just like the swatch they showed my in the show room. I appreciated the detail.

Well, the headboard was delivered and immediately I could tell the color was darker/off and not what we ordered. Several employees agreed that the color was way off by at least 3 shades. My leather didn’t match the swatch in their show room!!

I registered my issue with my salesperson and received the corporate runaround. I had to chase down everyone to get answere

First, The decision was left up to the factory that made the headboard. They stated that the headboard was up to factory standards. (I had no issue with the build).

Two: Next up the regional manager. She agreed with the factory. (There were no issues).

Three: I called the Regional Manager. She agreed to come to my home and bring the swatch from the store and compare it to what color I received. She stated she couldn’t see the difference. So, I took a picture. That clearly showed the color the showed me was not the same color that I received. She stated, she didn’t see it.
