I often visit RH Rooftop and consistently experience exceptional food and service. Taylor demonstrates exemplary customer service with a charming demeanor. Most recently, I had the pleasure of being attended to by Audrey, who was outstanding.
The quality of the food met my expectations. However, I would recommend offering brunch on weekdays as well, ideally from Friday to Sunday or on additional days during the week. A limited brunch menu for weekdays would be appreciated. Additionally, I would like to see the inclusion of organic options for items such as eggs and avocados, as well as meat that is both hormone-free and antibiotic-free on the menu. And the dessert menu is incredibly weak and desperately needs an overhaul.
The coffee and wine bar is excellent. I often make dedicated visits throughout the week solely for the coffee. It would be beneficial to consider incorporating healthier plant-based milk alternatives, such as Elmhurst, Minor Figures or Malk, which contain straightforward simple ingredients with zero seed oils. It is important to note that canola oil, derived from a genetically modified crop (rapeseed oil), is frequently included in oat milk. Health-conscious consumers are increasingly aware of this issue, and it is essential for restaurants to take this into account.
The patio is definitely a major draw. It's perfect for enjoying a quick coffee or glass of wine. However, there should be some level of table service available out there, and right now, there's not. You're potentially losing out on significant sales and foot traffic by not addressing this.
Overall, there are no significant complaints, aside from the somewhat less hospitable hostesses at the front-of-house who tend to congregate and appear to engage in excessive conversation rather than warmly welcoming customers and facilitating a smooth experience.
It is worth noting that I typically make reservations when dining at RH rooftop, as I have observed that they do not accommodate walk-ins during both weekdays and weekends with open tables. On several occasions, I have inquired about table availability after shopping at RH to better understand table...
Read moreWent to RH yesterday New years Eve. Had a reservation around 4 pm. I got a bit confused by the valet in front of their building, but i later asked only to be told that the said valet only opens after 445pm. So be aware. Otherwise, there are other options for parking. Hosts were polite, and i suggest you have both parties with you. Otherwise, they won't sit you. And i wanted to give my dining experience a 3.5 simply because once we sat down, as much as i was amazed to see so many servers or so, i thought. Everywhere i looked, i saw a staff member wearing a white shirt and black pants walking or standing around. I was still disappointed that we had to wait about 15-20 just to get water brought to our table and the alcoholic beverage. That was disappointing because i observed these older couple sit down for no more than 5 minutes, and they were having water offered to them. While we had two different servers who eventually came around to ask the same question regarding water and other beverages that might interest us. The sparkling water was brought to the table with the top off already. Not opened at the table. I was not a fan of that. We did get a bottle of proseco, which was served by our initial server. I definitely would recommend the sparkling proseco. Ambiance was lovely. I also loved my grilled shrimp, which i ordered a side of potato puree, which was just okay. At the end of the dinner for 2 we spent close to $250 but was disappointed again at the end once we paid and asked the server/waitress where my to go leftover food was and it took her over 10 minutes to come back. She kept just passing by and i had to remind her and eventually she said " let me put this menu down& i will be back" then i observe her putting the menu down and instead of coming back she started grabbing utensils and stuff to set another table. And as she was walking past me again, i decided to ask the host about my to go food so we could leave. The host did bring my to go food, and we left. After dinner we looked at the furniture which was lovely. I would definitely come back, but I hope for a 5 out of 5...
Read moreFor the price of this place, the food quality and preparation are not up to the same standard that is being displayed. My eggs were very over cooked, like they were brown. I also had toast - super hard! It was not really edible. Also had these 'crispy potatoes' with the breakfast and they were indeed CRISPY. In fact, I'd classify them as HARD AS A ROCK, as well as not seasoned. It looks like they were over cooked as well. Everyone at my table had similar experiences with their food quality, except for the chicken sandwich and waffle. Which our server told us the brunch plates were sharable sizes but they were just enough food for 1 person to fill up well. Sharing would certainly leave both people hungry. Everything is a le carte here, so come with a HEFTY wallet! Alcoholic drinks start at $20, sodas are $6, juices are $12. The couch seating tables have quite a distance between them so we all had to lean over/forward to eat on the edge of our seats. They did not have a children's menu. Also, it was kind of difficult to find and parking is a parking deck/long walking type situation. No bar seating is available at this establishment. Overall, our server was nice, but I would absolutely NOT go back as the prices of the food I feel 100% do NOT justify the quality or craftsmanship of these dishes. I would expect this level of food quality from Applebee's or chilli's, not from an Upscale restaurant in N. Hills. Honestly, there are many better choices than this place for fine dining with far better quality food. I think people are focusing on the 'grandiose' of all the shiny chandeliers, that it's a new place, and the fancy artworks within the gallery on the 1st floor, but if we focus on actual food quality I would have to say this place is not even on the good list. Take this review as you will - but you might be disappointed in your food once you spend $40 for salmon or $25 for a chicken sandwich that is lackluster or maybe...
