One would think with a rent of $2400.00 a month and advertised as gated and secured parking, that a property would take appropriate action, over the last few months with many vehicles being broken into numerous times. Again on the morning of 7/20/23 twenty three vehicles broken into and yes two of ours were broken into randomly chosen as they were not parked side by side, and breaking multiple windows in many cars, guess one window is just not enough and rummaged through. You would think management would step up there game for the residents, maybe hire security from12am to 6am, like so many other complexes in the area do. If you like trains, you're in the right place, just 150 yards from the track, and the conductor loves his horn while moving at a blazing speed of 3mph at 10.30ish at night and every morning at 5.20am. No need to set the alarm clock. Frustrated š ... I am responding to your robotic answer from your corporate office. The trains are a distraction, and a work around. Sadly after the first breech of the suposedly secure perimeter and having many vehicles broken into just a few weeks back and knowing where the entry into the garage was gained, you failed to take appropriate precautions. Management failed to correct the flaw of a short gate that is hopped over, and it happens again. Do you realize how much time, money, rental car, and insurance claims made, and other out of pocket expenses by the many tenants. Having two LEO live on site, means nothing, how that work out? Sadly you failing to act and make appropiate corrections after the first time this happened, and the dozens of vehicles broken into, you wouldnt have so many residents be upset. Refusing to speak to reporters or hanging up on them, does not look š¤ good on your end either..Location is great, safe and secure needs big...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI highly recommend NOT LEASING from here. I got out as soon as I could. The cons far outweigh the pros. The Link has since responded to this review with the same nonsense statement they gave us. All words and NO action was taken on their part. Do NOT live here!
PROS -Location is amazing, everything is accessible and there are so many awesome places to eat and drink around. -Leasing staff gives out cookies on Fridays -The maintenance team! Pedro and (please forgive me for not remembering the other mans name, I believe it was William.) they are efficient kind and always a joy to speak to. -I had no issues getting mail delivered here
CONS -No security. In my 2 years at the link there were huge break ins and consistent "suspicious behavior" that was NEVER addressed. Over 20 cars were broken into (plus 2 stolen) and they did absolutely nothing about it. (Well they did put a small amount of mesh on the parking deck to "deter" more crime) They refused to put in new security cameras and do not care about the safety of the residents. -The parking deck is always broken. Sometimes it is broken and left up for multiple days, which is concerning due to the lack of effort put into deterring crime in the building. -Pet owners are letting their dogs use the bathroom INSIDE the hallways, management does nothing about it but send emails. There are no cameras in the hallway so no one stops -No fault of the link but the pool is completely shaded due to construction -Rude and simply unhelpful management staff -Amenities are consistently not available for various reasons -Parking is limited, the garage is small and there is no...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe Link facilities, the apartments themselves, and the location are all great aspects of living at the Link; however, the place does not come without cons. For one, the North St. facing side of the apartment complex is extremely loud with street traffic. I'm sure this is to be expected living in a downtown environment, but I would be remiss to not mention how loud the train is. Don't ever expect to sleep through the night. Pay careful attention to your lease terms. Towards the end of your lease, the office will distribute a lease renewal letter with your (increased) expected rent. The letter will request a confirmation of lease renewal or termination within 30 days of your lease expiry - BUT - in fine print it will also note that you are required to give at least 60 days notice if you are not renewing your lease. Due to personal reasons and life circumstances I was not planning to renew my lease. Rather than having my lease expire, I was charged a full month's rent (instead of prorated rent for my last month) and a week's rent at a higher rate (month-to-month) well into the following month of my lease expiration. I signed a letter giving the Link permission to re-rent my apartment prior to my lease termination as I had evacuated the apartment 1 month prior to my lease ending. The office told me they would advertise the apartment as available after I signed the re-rent agreement; however, they never listed the apartment as available online and continually pushed the 'available date' out until AFTER my higher month-to-month payment...
