I cannot help but feel humiliated by this company. My task was cooling a small 200 sq ft garage room, and wanted a mini split installed. While I received a few quotes from other companies averaging $6k, I thought that was a bit excessive for this small room. Therefore, investigated buying my own mini-split and have professional installation. After a plethora of google research and few phone calls, the average installation was around $5k. In the Sacramento area, there are quite a few AC companies that are complete rip-offs. I called Leeās because they had a good rating on google, and a slightly lower rating on yelp. I informed them I wanted to get a quote on installing a mini-split I was buying, and they made an appointment to look. The technician gentleman was very friendly; however, I could not help but feel humiliated afterwards. Hereās my experience: At first, I gave a quick explanation of my situation and he quickly said around $4800 for installation, but then continued to explain my need for a mini split to cool this small room. I was then told we donāt install another units. Then we talked about my other quotes and was told I am not going to like his estimate if I thought $6k was too high. He did his thing on the tablet and quoted me a whopping $20K for a 200 sq ft room. He said it was a āMitsubishi brandā not the other cheaper brand. (After he left, I looked up the cost of this so-called brand and the cost was around $2k +/- . My purchased brand being the same, around $2k) We spoke about Leeās policy on not installing purchased units, but he said let me call the office. I was then told a still whopping $18K for installation. We spoke a little more about how they do not install other units. While I totally understand this, I mentioned that it was okay, but explained I did say I wanted a quote for an installation of a purchased mini split when I called for an estimate. In my mind it would have saved the trouble of a trip for Leeās, right? However, I said that it was okay, I understand. He actually told me we can go to vehicle and hear the recording if I wanted. Really??? Was he trying to see if I lied, as if that was important. How humiliated I felt. Why would I lie, I don't care if you do not install other peopleās Mini-Splits, if you donāt - you donāt ā why the hell would I want to hear my own conversation I had with dispatch. Would that reverse your decision to install one? No, so why say it! This company does have good ratings and quite frankly I do not know if my experience was a single humiliating experience to stop a sale or customers just do not realize they can get an installation of a mini split from just about any other company for far less. To me the cost provided is insanely high, and I felt ripped off and humiliated to think their offer was a reasonable offer for a small room. They did offer financing as if that makes it okay to charge $20k for a 200 sq ft room. The other companies offered me the same financing but at $6K. I was not aware they sent me a quote via email. I only saw the email later that night. The email had the documented quote, but it was at $18.5k not $20k, for a full installation and another document stating, me, the customer thought they would install a purchased unit when they do not. As if that makes things legal. I would stay away from Leeās; that is my opinion. If you had a better experience and are okay with paying $20k for a 200 sq ft room, then good for you. We live in California where everything is overcharged, and Californians think that it is okay because they do not realize or do not care that just about any other state is far cheaper for the same exact devices and same exact labor. I know I babbled on, but this is just my personal experience. Hopefully, you do not have the same experience ā do your research and please look at several companies before...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUnfortunately, now with new and additional perspective I feel the need to greatly revise my positive review of Lee's Air, Plumbing & Heating in Sacramento. I'll break it down into 3 functions.
SALES. Just for a bit of history: a few months ago when shopping around, we were informed by Lee's Air that the mini-split unit we were purchasing (for the very high price of $14,000 +) was a multi-zone unit, that it could easily be expanded to add on zones (ie., rooms). We've now come to learn that it is only a dual-zone unit. Thus, we are now stuck with a costly unit that is not doing the job yet can not be expanded. SERVICE. In addition, it's come to our attention that the drainage tube was installed in such a manner that a section of the tube was actually installed higher than all the other tubes, which thanks to gravity is disallowing it to drain correctly. Not surprisingly this has resulted in water seepage into the attic and even leaking onto the new flooring below. This observation was independently confirmed by two other professionals, neither of which had any idea of the company we'd used. SUPPORT. Before knowing any of this I had made calls to Lee's for two reasons: the first was to purchase and install a single unit mini-split into a smaller structure, the second reason was to add one zone to our existing unit. Both simple tasks yet, as I'd figured, were apparently jobs too small to garner any interest from Lee's. After leaving multiple messages with their AI receptionist (whom one is unable to bypass), I suppose I wasn't completely surprised that I had (and have) never received even a call back. At this juncture off course, I'm actually glad that they didn't respond and that I didn't engage their apparently deceptive and irresponsibilible services again. I would cautiion other consumers to be VERY CAREFUL if they choose to engage Lee's, and/or to AVOID...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had a leak in my galvanized pipe, Chris was at my house about 8:30, wrapped up about 12:30, I had to ask him about running water to clear the line of any rust that may be in the pipes after the repair, I now have a clog in my kitchen faucet, with low pressure due to the repair, Iām not happy about it.
They asked for the review, so here it is.
edited.
I got a call last night not more than 30 minutes after I posted my review, about my clogged sink, they said the Technician, who did the leak repair , would be out on 7/1 to take care of the Faucet.
Not only did they take care of it, they replaced it, no one likes to go back to a job, and repair a problem, that was caused by a repair, No One!
Chris arrived about 8 am to repair it, he didnāt give up, he exhausted every effort to repair, even with a couple of trips to the store to find the right aerator for my particular faucet, he couldnāt find one.
He said he had to go do another job, but would be back about 1 to finish it , he arrived at 12, with a new faucet.
His desire to please and satisfy the customer , speaks volumes for the company. Work ethic and integrity are hard to come by, but the attitude in which you do it, says more about you than the actual work.
You know that motto, you get what you pay for? Well I got more than what I paid for. I will use this company for all my repair needs.
Thank you Chris Zastrow, for your professionalism, work ethic, and the inner drive to be the best you can be, and deliver the best service.
I canāt thank Leeās Air, Plumbing and Heating enough for what they gave, they gave themselves, and at the end of the day, thatās all we can give, and they did it willingly.
Thanks again so much, for...
