I hate to give negative reviews, because I do believe that everyone has good intentions and I always try to give benefit of doubt and understand their perspective. I will share my experience so you can improve because I would love to see your business grow. I went in today with my daughter around 12/27 around 5:30 pm.When I was done shopping I had one more person in front of me and their was no one at the register. Their were two employees stocking up fridges. The person in front of me had to go get them to ring us. I get it it’s holiday time and you are probably short staffed. But their should be at least one person at the register. I consider this unprofessional .When it was my turn I put my stuff on the belt , they were about 10 things, cashier didn’t started scanning and I realized that I forgot to grab ginger. I told him I ll be back in minute and I was. When I came back he skipped me and took the next customer without even asking me. I wouldn’t have mind but it was again unprofessional not to ask. So I was waiting again. He should have waited for me before taking next customer. I encourage you to check your camera and see how quick I was coming back to register. But the employee had no patience. The third sign of unprofessional behavior was they the way he was putting stuff on the side after scanning , he even threw the receipt on the side rather than handing it to me in my hand . Forget about greeting a customer or anything , his gestures and body language were not welcoming and unprofessional. I don’t know if it was the owner or one of the employees. But I doubt if it was owner because no one will treat customer like this in their own store. Anyways these are small things, but customer satisfaction and general gestures go long way. I use your store as a back up anyways and will continue to do so. But if I felt the same vibe next time , it might change. Losing one customer will not make a difference to you. But being professional and creating a welcome atmosphere might help in future.
I want to leave something positive also in this review, I was their before twice and I think I saw the owner . They both were welcoming and professional. I hope you take this review in a positive light because I would love to see your business grow and it is a great benefit to Indian community.
One more good thing which came out of this was that it was learning lesson for my 7 year old daughter , I explained her how the cashier was unprofessional and what not to do in a...
Read moreThis new place is in Randolph, NJ, and is clean. Ample parking. It does not have everything that is available in some of the Parsippany stores. Service is good. Once I complained about an item they had, that did not meet my expectation in quality. The store in charge took out the whole set of items to re-examine and make sure nothing bad goes on the racks. It saves a lot of driving distance for anyone living in mid or west of Morris County. Purchasing indian groceries has become very handy now. But my only gripe is the price. IMO, if they need to attract more customers, they need to compete in pricing with some of the Parsippany stores. I live in a community, and all I hear is "high prices in Zifiti." The first impression is the best impression. But a lot of my neighbors do not visit this place in spite of it being at least 12 to 15 miles nearer, the reason being the cost, which is 20% more than normal. If you are buying $200 groceries, you will save atleast $40, if you visit Parsippany by spending $5 for gas and you still have $35 to buy more items or save it in your pocket. If the price is reduced and matched with other Parsippany, Somerset, or Edison stores, then it is a 5* store. I am a regular buyer here and will keep an eye on prices. If it is reduced to match up, I will bump my star rating.
Update 03/22/2023 - I have an update. As I mentioned in my last review, I am a regular buyer in ZiFitiFresh and also promised to provide an update if the prices fall. yes, from the past month or so, I have see the prices go down on most commodities. The owners really listened to the public. As the owner has responded, they even price match, this is something that other Indian groceries do not do. They even have a constant promo on some items, compared to promo only on Indian festivals in other stores. The store is definitely improving. For me, more than cost, quality and time saved is important. Travel time of 60 minutes vs 10 minutes to Zifiti, is a good reason not to go anywhere...
Read moreI bought a BUNCH of fresh produce and canned food for only $19.95! I couldn't believe my eyes🤣 It was a very relaxing, pleasant experience! The workers and (I think) the manager were all very kind and friendly and gave me space. It was very quiet on Sunday afternoon so I took my time to explore the store. I saw a variety of teas, chaat, snacks, curry mixes, rice, frozen dinners, and fresh produce. The store was very clean and played vintage Bollywood(?) music (sorry I can't be more specific about the music, as I am not Indian). My favorite section was the produce because they have fresh fruits and vegetables with some cans of snacks above. However, I wish they labelled whether these are organic fruits as I generally prefer organic bananas, for example. They do not appear to sell meat, which I did not know as I was hoping to get some chicken for dinner, but that's ok as I picked up a huge can of Soya Chaap and huge can of Saag mix instead! Once again I couldn't believe my total ($21 discounted to $19)! I heard about this place because someone at my job got a 10% off coupon in the mail. The friendly, calm, and authentic atmosphere makes Zifiti Fresh a great choice ( I also like the name)! If dinner goes well I hope...
