First, the Bad News: the main theater of the Basie is no longer used for film presentations, only live performances. The (mostly) Good News: they've created a duplex theater a few blocks away, dedicated to film presentation, presumably year-round (as opposed to just around Academy Awards time, as before). Two stars for now because they have a way to go. Updating the interiors and decor can be put on hold for more basic repairs like the bathroom sink that's trying to leave the wall, the moldy grout and corroded pipes and dirty floor need to get a good scrubbing and repairs made.
