🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 As someone who has traveled extensively through both North and South India—studying yoga, immersing myself in Ayurveda, and experiencing the profound warmth of Indian hospitality—I can say without hesitation: this restaurant in Red Bank is the real deal.
Dining here felt like a great pilgrimage home. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed like family. The owner is a true gem—genuinely kind, attentive, and passionate about the food she serves. She offered us excellent suggestions, and every single dish exceeded our expectations.
We sampled naan three ways (basil, garlic) and each one was pillowy, warm, and absolutely divine. The menu is beautifully varied, with an abundance of vegetarian options that are anything but boring—deeply flavorful and made with so much love. The spices were perfectly balanced, and the portions were generous.
This family-owned and operated hidden gem transported me straight to South India, where meals are soulful, vibrant, and nourishing on every level. It reminded me of the meals I’ve shared in small village homes and sacred ashrams—unforgettable and deeply satisfying.
We even ordered food to go for lunch tomorrow it was so great!
BYOB is a plus, and while parking in Red Bank can be tricky (paid street parking), it is so worth the effort. I’m already dreaming about our next visit.
Highly, highly...
Read moreMy family wanted indian after apple picking and we couldn’t find a place until I looked up Indian and found them. It said 5 stars and the ratings were not wrong. This restaurant was absolutely amazing. The food was excellent and there were so many choices. All of the food was worth it. I’ve been to many Indian restaurants and this place is in my top 3. The owner is such an amazing, hardworking, and sweet woman. She told us her story about for 20 years she’s wanted to have a restaurant yet she took the time to support and take care of her kids. It was heartwarming. She also told us a story of a father and a daughter who were starving and came to the door after close hoping they didn’t close yet. The chefs left, but she didn’t want them hungry. She still let them in and she cooked dinner for them and didn’t let them pay. It was for free. She expresses how being able to give food is a blessing and the biggest reward is being able to give food for people in need and feeding the people. She deserves this restaurant. Not only is she an amazing woman, but the bigger plus is the food is absolutely amazing. The naan, aloo papri chaat, chicken tikka masala, lamb rogan josh, lamb tikka masala, paneer tikka masala. All of it was amazing and so flavorful. For the spice levels my brother and I got medium and my parents got medium plus and the spice levels...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Agra Indian Masala in Red Bank, and I was absolutely blown away by the quality of the food. From start to finish, the experience was fantastic. In particular, I have to rave about the Chicken Tikka Masala. It was, without a doubt, one of the best I've ever had. The sauce was rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced – a wonderful balance of flavors that wasn't too overpowering. The chicken itself was incredibly tender and juicy, clearly cooked with care. To accompany the Chicken Tikka Masala, I ordered the naan bread, and it was equally impressive. It was soft, fluffy, and had that wonderful slightly charred taste that comes from being freshly baked in a tandoor. It was the perfect vehicle to soak up every last bit of that delicious sauce. The service was also excellent. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere of the restaurant was welcoming and comfortable, making for a truly enjoyable dining experience. If you're looking for authentic and delicious Indian food in Red Bank, I highly recommend checking out Agra Indian Masala. The Chicken Tikka Masala and naan are must-tries, but based on my experience, I'm sure everything on the menu is fantastic. I can't wait to go back and try more dishes! Highly...
