I went to the Cologne section and the employee walked past me without saying a word as I stood looking like a customer that needs help, she went to help an older lady even though I was there first...and continued to walk past me 2 more times in a matter of 5 minutes without looking at me or saying one word, finally she asked if I was with the 70 year old lady....I'm in my mid 40's....and said to her noooo.....I said I was looking for a different scent of cologne because the one you have on the shelf isnt what I was looking for....she says...we have some in gift packs that are more affordable....(she didn't even ask me what brand I was looking for and I WAS in my work clothes so I must look like a dirt bag who can't afford to shop at Macy's) ....than she points to two shelves where the gift packs I didn't ask for are located....so I told her what I was looking for and she said if its not on the shelf we dont carry it...I thanked her sarcastically and left....if you visit this location avoid the Lilly Tomlin Emo wanna be hippie she's just there to collect a pay check....I would expect more from a 55 yr old women...kids 30 and under act this way today...this is why Amazon is killing everyone...no one wants to work anymore....I was gonna buy it on Amazon but figured I would pay a few dollars more to support a store in my town...that's what I get...needless to say I'll never set foot in...
Read moreOn march 9th 2016 we went to Macy's to buy some clothes for my wife after receiving coupons under the VIP special sale. with a coupon which reads like this: WED, MAR. 9-SUN,, MAR. 13, USE THIS EXCLUSIVE PASS DURING MACY'S VIP SALE & GET EXTRA SAVINGS. EVEN ON THE DESIGNERS THAT RARELY GO ON . ON SALE EXTRA 25% OFF. Well the smart cash register attendant did not want to honor the coupons, and made us pay the posted price at the display racks. this is the second time, actually the third time it happened to us, we've never experienced this type of attitude back at the Orange County Macy's Brea's Mall Store, only in Redding at the Hilltop Shasta Mall. To make a long story short, a quick call to customer service took care of the problem and we got a refund, SO DON'T BE A VICTIM BY THE CASHIER'S MADE ON THE SPOT POLICIES. In general I like Macy's but it has some employees with a questionable ethical behavior., or poor training with terrible customer service. maybe is the "hourly pay" or is it because we are Hispanics???? We have been buying at Macy's for over 20 years and never experienced this type of behavior back in Orange County at the Macy's Brea Mall, So I don't know if this is happening to a certain type of ethnic group or to the general public. VERY STRANGE,... IT LOOKS AS A COMMON PRACTICE...

I tried it one time and it is not a shade match for me. I put it to the side and essentially forgot about it. I made a call to Customer Service today because all I would like to do is exchange it for a shade that I can use in store or online. The rep I spoke to was hard to understand. He told me first that I was outside of the return date by ten days. Then he changed it to be outside of 60 days. I’m not asking for my money back. This is brand new (with the exception of trying it ONCE.) I have spent a lot of money in your store, and I would like a product that I can actually use. I spoke to a supervisor, as well. She told me no. I am very upset about this. She kept repeating the return policy dates, and not listening to me. I kept telling her that I realize that part is my fault, I’m simply asking for an exception. They kept telling me that they could assist me, however, with making another purchase….again, not hearing what I was saying. Again, I just want a shade that works for me, not my money back. And as an added FYI: it was even more frustrating because of the language barrier. Poor...
