Saigon Delights (Pho - Seafood - Crawfish) — Restaurant in Redlands

We were craving Vietnamese sandwiches and were actually thinking of heading to Lee's Sandwiches down in Riverside, but stumbled across this place on Google maps and decided to give it a try instead. Boy, we made the right choice by coming here - my expectations were blown out of the water!

I'm not Vietnamese, but as a Bay Area native, I'm familiar with authentic Vietnamese food, and this place definitely did not disappoint. We tried their Pork and Shrimp Egg Rolls, Roast Pork Vermicelli, BBQ Pork Banh Mi, Bun Bo Hue, Vietnamese coffee, and Thai tea.

The egg rolls had full shrimps in each and were packed with meat - crispy, hot, and fresh. The roast pork vermicelli had crackling skin on it. The bread for the Banh Mi was great - crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. The Bun Bo Hue noodle soup... my god, this was the absolute highlight for me. Rich and deep flavored stock packed with lemongrass flavor! They definitely don't skim on the portions. Ocean Pho has this dish too, but the one at Saigon Delights is on an absolute different level.

The lady who helped us at the counter was very pleasant, courteous, and friendly. My wife and I can't wait to go back to try their Beef Stew Banh Mi. I'm surprised this place isn't more crowded, but my guess is that it's probably due to the location.

We started off with their appetizers, and it instantly reminded me of home-cooked meals. It’s the first time I’ve seen a Vietnamese spot make the boil fresh to order, and it was loaded with shrimp, crawfish, corn, and potatoes. I recently tried takeout from Saigon Delights Food To Go on their soft opening day, and it was fantastic! I ordered egg rolls, spring rolls, a bowl, and a plate. The flavors were authentic, and each dish was prepared with care.
