I had an awful experience with this Petco and the level of customer service received by the manager Katrina. I ordered some items for same day pickup (powered through DoorDash). In order for same day delivery you have to order before 2pm. At 3pm, Petco emailed me that one of my items was out of stock; they didn't give me a choice to replace the item, they just adjusted the order. I immediately called the store to see if I could replace the item with a similar item that was in stock. Katrina told me that I couldn't do that, she said I'd have to place another delivery order to do that (meaning pay the delivery fees again, another tip for the driver, and it wouldn't get to me until tomorrow because it is now after 2pm). I asked if I could simply pay for the item and have it sent out with my order being delivered today. I didn't think it would be fair for me to have to pay all of those fees again, seeing as though it was their incorrect inventory count that led to this problem in the first place. But I still offered to pay the fees again if she could just make sure it was sent out with my order today instead of as a new order tomorrow. She insisted that she couldn't do that, and as a last resort finally said I could call DoorDash and talk to them.
I called DoorDash and they immediately said that wouldn't be a problem; they said I ordered through Petco so it had nothing to do with them because I had already paid all dues on their end. I asked if the DoorDash assistant would be willing to 3-way call Petco to explain this. She agreed. We waited over 20min for Katrina to answer the phone again....in those 20 minutes, the DoorDash driver had stopped by the store to pickup the order. Despite Petco knowing I had an issue with this order that I was currently on hold with them about, they sent out the order. So now..due to Katrina's lack of knowledge on the relationship her company has with DoorDash, I have paid for delivery & tipped 20% for an item I am not receiving.
This could have been such an easy fix, very poor management. Also, it would be nice if Petco gave you options when they realize something you've already paid for is...

I scheduled a grooming appointment and received an email and text message instructing me to arrive earlier than my scheduled time, in order to check in. I arrived 10-15 minutes early, but there was no one to assist me. I asked the manager, Willy, if he could assist me and he said he was not qualified to check me in at the grooming station. Willy then told me to come back at my scheduled time.
I let Willy know that I was instructed to come in early from an email and text message I received. I also informed Willy that my last appointment at Petco, I arrived at my scheduled time and the groomer asked me to arrive earlier than my scheduled time. Willy then laughed at me and said āno one wouldāve told you that, unless thereās a line, and thereās no line, so no one wouldāve told you to come In early!ā
I was shocked a manager would have such poor customer service. I asked Willy if he was calling me a liar for doing as I was instructed. Willy then said āYes, youāre a liar, no one wouldāve told you to come in early!ā
I cancelled my appointment immediately and will not be returning to that Petco location. I felt unwelcome at a store that Iāve been a patron...

Just so they can walk me to the back and tell me that they don't carry the flea med I usually get there. And that they can prescribed a different one. But the one they want to prescribed my pet makes her throw up. So they tell me if I don't want a different kind that I would have to pay for a service and then they can give me a perscription for the ones I need, so I can order the flea med my dog takes at a different retailer. Well my dog doesn't need any other service examples shots, microchip. And it's not my fault they don't have the med they prescribed before there. And they had all my information days before my appointment. They could have courtesy call me and inform me that I can't get a perscription from them because they don't have the med I need for my dog. And you know how they don't want to give you a perscription unless you buy the meds strictly from them. That's very unfair, and they should have given me the perscription anyways so I could have filled it elsewhere. Because again it's not my fault they didn't...
