Land in LAX and craving viet food? Pho Hue Oi is the place to go to! It's reasonably priced and has authentic Vietnamese food (you can tell by the satay they have). I’ve been heading to LAX for lots of weddings this year and I swear I accidentally went to this place twice and then remember that I did go here before when I sat down! Just means their food is bomb. It’s a quick 10-15min drive from the airport so it’s my go-to viet place when I land. The specialize in Bun Bo Hue and Pho. Their top two dishes on yelp are Bun Bo Hue and Banh Beo (which is my fav). Plus they don’t cheap out on the thai chili 5/5 - Pho Dac Biet - pho has deep flavor and very good 5/5 - Bun Bo Hue - it is spicy and flavorful! Plus they have pork blood, which is my favorite. You know it's good based on the satay they have 5/5 - Banh Beo - omg they did not skimp out on shredded shrimp and thai chili. You can tell the banh beo is very fresh and hits the spot 3/5 - Com Suon Nuong - I guess this is com suon nuong and not "com tam (bi) suon nuong" - seems like a pretty basic dish and not broken rice, no egg meat loaf, but the suon was very tasteful and had the hit of charcoil flavor. As for service, we got seated pretty quickly and took our order when we were ready. Didn't really check up on us that much but that's fine. Parking is super easy which is always nice. Ambiance - the place is kind of small and I haven't been there during rush hour. Pretty typical viet restaurant but definitely cleaner than the REAL authentic ones hahaha I'd go again for their Banh Beo, Bun Bo Hue and Pho :)

I wouldn't say I have been to hundreds of pho restaurants. 😅 However, as for the ones that i have been to, this is probably top 3. 🍜 Let's start with the food first. We ordered the egg rolls, ribeye pho and spicy beef something... It's blanking on me 🤦‍♂️. First off, the egg rolls. These were the best I have tried from a pho place. I liked the fillings on these as they were savory (flavorful but not salty) and I could tell they were genuine food, not some processed salty food that they just stuffed in there. 👌🏼 As for the pho, I enjoyed the broth thoroughly as I have never drunk a whole bowl of broth, but I did this time. 😁 The noodles were not too soft, which is a plus because soggy noodles are the worst! 😑 The meat was good too! 😋 Moving on to customer service. I don't know about you but I dislike having spring onions on my pho, so I had to request it and they did well to remember it (I had my doubts because the guy that took my order didn't write down anything and our order was quite specific, so kudos to them! 👍🏼) If there's one thing that could be better, it would be how the seatings are arranged. I thought it was pretty compact in there. So at the time of writing this review, I have been here twice and enjoyed it. 5 stars ⭐

Ordered Pho the #1 on the menu. Whatever they call fillet mignon I would call a piece of chewy, stringy rubber. The whatever miniscule 3 pieces of beef there were in the soup, were impossible to chew. The meatballs had too much fat and trims. I love Pho and this is the worst I have ever had. If this would be my first Pho, I would never try it again. In response to owner: you have listed so many wonderful meats that were supposed to be in my soup and at other places they usually are there. At your restaurant all the meat that was in my plate was 3 pieces of the rubber shown in my picture. Minuscule amount of tendon and 1 mystery fat and trim meatball cut into 4 quarters. At the time that I was at the restaurant there were not many customers but there were at least 6 employees. My server spoke zero english and had such poor pronunciation to a point where when he was offering water I thought he was offering weed. Then another female employee came back from a Starbucks run and everyone was so busy and overexcited about the product which she brought it. And sadly it did not compliment your restaurant and your food. Even your chef was happy to grab one and take it to the kitchen.

Nestled in the heart of Los Angeles, Pho Hue Oi is a hidden gem that promises a culinary journey through the vibrant flavors of Vietnam. As a food enthusiast with an affinity for Vietnamese cuisine, I was eager to explore their menu, and my visit to this charming restaurant left me utterly impressed.

Upon stepping into Pho Hue Oi, I was greeted with an ambiance that exuded warmth and authenticity. The menu featured an array of tempting dishes, but I couldn't resist diving into their "Rice Plates" – a true showcase of Vietnamese culinary delights.

After much contemplation, I decided to indulge in their "Com Suon Nuong" – a delightful rice plate featuring tender and succulent grilled pork that was marinated to perfection. Accompanied by a generous portion of fragrant jasmine rice, fresh cucumber slices, and a zesty dipping sauce, every bite of this dish was a delightful burst of flavors that took me on a journey to the bustling streets of Saigon.

However, the exceptional dining experience at Pho Hue Oi was not just about the mouthwatering Rice Plates; it was the impeccable service provided by a waitress named Linh that truly made my visit special. With her warm and welcoming smile, Linh made me feel like a valued guest throughout my meal. Her attentiveness and knowledge of the menu added an extra layer of enjoyment to my Vietnamese dining adventure.

Pho Hue Oi is a testament to the art of crafting authentic Vietnamese dishes with a focus on quality and tradition. Each item on their menu, especially the Rice Plates, is prepared with care and a dedication to preserving the rich culinary heritage of Vietnam.

In conclusion, if you're seeking a flavorful journey to Vietnam in Los Angeles, Pho Hue Oi is an absolute must-visit. Their Rice Plates offer a delightful exploration of Vietnamese flavors. And if you're fortunate enough to be served by Linh, you'll experience a level of hospitality that will make your dining experience at Pho Hue Oi truly...

Decent Pho. Rude servers. Kitchen closes early and doesn't post time kitchen closes. Avoid.

UPDATE: I went back after someone reached out apologizing for the rude service. Walk in and am the only customer, besides all 3 servers sitting down and on their phones, 1 young woman not wearing a mask. Tables and chairs dirty with food debris. I sit, order, am told there's no soda besides diet. (With a Vons in the same parking lot) Order, then ask for the table to be wiped down. I'm asked to go to another table instead. I ask again for the table to be wiped down and am again asked to go to another dirty table. After 3 times asking for the table to be wiped the server begrudgingly brings a rag and motions for ME to wipe the table myself. N.O. No friendly service I was promised to come back to. Instead the same rudeness as previously. Food comes out fresh, hot and tasty, but I see the maskless young woman going in and out of the kitchen, where I see a cook and what looks to be the owner also not wearing a mask! Starving, I hesitate but decide to eat my food anyways. Pay and leave no tip.

It's too bad this place doesn't hire better staff and servers. I'm a HUGE tipper and would have tipped 50% if they knew the first thing about customer service and actually cared about their clients or bothered to follow BASIC...
