Sadly, the store manager, Michelle, feels she cannot make mistakes and only her crew can. Having been in management most of my working career, seeing this type of person running a store makes me sad for the employees and customers that have to encounter her daily. Cy'jarah and Duy (crew members) were very helpful in correcting Michelle's mistakes when she took our order, when Michelle repeated the order back to us 3 times, we expected no mistakes to have been made. Michelle neglected to place a banana split on the order, as well as extra sauce packets we had requested and instead of a large meal that we ordered we paid for a regular even though Michelle stated 3 times our correct order back to us involving the banana split and large meal. After almost 15 minutes inside, correcting Michelle's mistakes with the help of her amazing and efficient crew, is when we realized we received a regular meal and not a large. At this point I requested Michelle from the back where she was counting cash. In my second attempt at communicating with Michelle I was met with contempt, disgust and annoyance. Her crew said multiple times "I'm sorry, I cant do that, I will get in trouble." Having managerial experience for 5 years, the way Michelle is representing your store is unprofessional, unethical and concerning for the employees that she is responsible for. At one point during our visit, Michelle began whispering to the employee that was helping us correct Michelle's mistakes, Cy'jarah. The crew seemed very uncomfortable with their store manager, were willing to admit her mistakes, apologize for her and correct their leaders mistakes. When Michelle was presented with her mistakes she became annoyed, hurried and dismissive. Those are not good qualities in a store manager, if those things were corrected, this would be a 5 star establishment. This was the first encounter there where I have met the store manager and it was my first wretching experience. If this behavior were to happen while I was managing my store, Michelle would be responsible for learning customer service, accepting responsibility and how to interact authoratively and not abusively to employees. Cy'jarah would be training for a leadership promotion, probably shift lead or shift manager. Please value your worthy employees, ensure the credit is properly being given and the negative actions of your store manager are not adversely affecting your crew. Cy'jarah, you have amazing qualities whatever you want to achieve, you will. Duy, thank you for taking your job seriously and staying...
Read moreWe ordered two $5 buck lunches and substituted small blizzards for the sundaes. This time it was my blizzard that was only half way mixed. It was good until I got the first two inches ate and then it was just until mixed ice cream. This doesn't surprise me though as every time we order blizzards at the Benson location they are either not full, not fully mixed or the wrong blizzard altogether. Now, most of the time we'll use the drive thru and going back and complaining is out of the question, especially when you have to go thru two u-turns to get back. I've gone back before anyway and if I talk to one of the employees, my words are just met with a defensive argument of some sort. If a manager is available then they appear sincerely concerned and offer something to make it better. Most of the time though it is not worth my effort to complain because the problems persists. This Dairy Queen used to be much better during it's first ten years of operation when the owners were there on a regular basis. Also, our burgers were made with ingredients that were sliced way too thick and could have been centered in the sandwich better if they remove their blindfold. Last but not least, the fries were cold. Now, I realize that a fast food restaurant is not going to solve world peace, but it is very evident that our future workplace workers lack the care to come to work and show their employer how grateful they are to have their job by giving...
Read moreThey close at 9pm and we got there about 10 minutes to but their lights were still on and about 6 other cars in the drive thru. When it was our turn to order thier auto machine said they weren't taking anymore orders because they were closed. The car in front of us was the last order they took. There were card behind me also. We sat in the line waiting to get thru even though we could not order. I stopped at the window and waiting for someone to acknowledge me. Finally one of the workers looked over and just shook her head and mouthed we're closed. I told her I knew but had a question. She repeated what she just did so I knocked on the window hoping she would open it so I could simply ask my question and be gone. All I wanted to know was the managers name. I yelled my question thru the window thinking once they heard the question they would then open the window and tell me. They did not. This went on for about 10 more minutes of her either straight up ignoring me or yelling at me to leave because she wasn't going to give me the managers name. She said that she doesn't have to give me the name of her manager. I will never go there again because the customer...
