If it existed, I would give it a “0” star. Was invited by my son who was performing, he’s a musician, he plays drums, for Valentine’s Day. My husband and I decided to go and enjoy an evening alone. Mind you, we drive a hour to get here. Arrived at 7:35p, the Manager had a smile as she greeted us and took our name, as to my son had already informed about his guess that was coming. Well we’re seated in on the middle (Reserved) seats, nice right, well it went down hill, alll the way down from that point. We sat there about 20 minutes even before getting our drinks, which I asked for white wine, and the gentleman with the beads in his hair said, “I don’t think we have white wine, what else would you like,” which I ordered a simple mix drink as a 2nd option. Well he comes back with the mix drink and says, “oh I forgot to see if we had the wine.” Never mind, I’ll drink the 2nd option. Well it’s 8:23p and as we sat, with menus to order and no eating utensils, another couple were seated at the table with my husband and I. They hadn’t received menus until after 20 minutes and one of the ladies had to literally stop someone to get menus, mind you, we’re still sitting without one person stopping to ask if we were ready to order. Well it’s almost 9pm and our table FINALLY got a rude young lady with an attitude who took our order. Well, guess what, the couple who came and sat after us received their food after asking 3x for it, BUT my husband and I NEVER received our food. So I to the young lady who sat us in the very beginning and found out she was the Manager and proceeded to explain to her what has taken place, mind you the entire time we were there, they had 3-4 servers just walking past us like we were invisible. EVERYONE around us, even ones who come after us, received menus, utensils, drinks, AND their food. So NOW it’s after 9:15 and my son’s group are about to wrap things up because it’s over at 9:30 and my ONE plate comes out, get this, STILL without utensils. At this point I just asked the manager to box it up to which her reply was, “ I’ll bring you a Togo box” Wellllll guess what, yupp you guested it, the box NEVER came! We got one drink and the rest of the night was ruined because there was no food, not ONE employee there who cared to address and correct it. So my husband and I wasted a nice evening out at a poor establishment because of an invite from my son. FIRST impressions are EVERYTHING, and couldn’t pay me to EVER come back there and if anyone ask, I’ll kindly let them know what we experienced. Luckily Pappaduex was still open and had a very busy night and we STILL got A-1 treatment, and because I told my husband this Valentine was on me, I tipped the server $100 for his fast service and his awesome attentiveness. You NEVER know who you’ll serve, so it behooves you to be aware of your guest. It’s a BIG NO for JS...

Long post short: food was not good and was missing one of the meals which I am still awaiting refund for despite multiple calls.

I ordered two meals and dessert which totaled about $70. The clerk at the establishment packed the order and assured all was there and tied the bag. Once home, I discovered i was missing an entire meal (jerk chicken meal with dirty rice, totaled $21 excluding tax). I immediately called the clerk and informed of situation. She stated she would have the owner, Jamie or Jannie, send over the refund via cash app. She called back a little later that same day to inform me the owner agreed to send over the funds that evening or the next morning and requested my cash app username, which I provided to her and confirmed. To this date, I have not received the promised refund. I tried calling the following Monday but no answer. I called again Wednesday, 6/14/2023 & was told by a separate clerk she was not there when the issue occurred so would call the owner. I didn’t receive a call back so called again for update and was told the owner informed her to leave it alone until the lady who took my order came back another day. I requested the owner call me or be put in contact with her to resolve same day. I was told she would call me but have yet to receive a call or refund.

I am recovering from a major surgery so it is not feasible for me to make additional trips to the suburb, DeSoto, TX, where order was placed.

I dined in on a date on July 6th. We ordered 1 margarita for me, the man and cheese balls, oxtail pasta, and chicken fried rice. My date and I were the only one in there when we arrived which was alarming but tiktok reviews made me want to see it through. There was a TERRIBLE sewer smell inside. I wanted to leave so badly because of that but I didn't want to embarrass the worker or my date so I stayed. The drink was not mixed well and was icy. Not smooth or strong at all. The Mac and cheese balls were a 10/10 fresh and just flavorful. The oxtail pasta dish was sooooo oily and the oxtail weren't tender. I could hardly find meat on them. My date says he liked his fried rice but he was kind of slow and probably wouldn't know any better any way. (No shade just truth) it looked dry to me, like really dry. I ended up taking my food home and throwing it away. It was just a dish of oil honestly. We also waited over an hour for out dishes to come out when we were the only ones there and nobody came in to pick up orders during that time. I wasn't impressed but will give it one more try since I just saw great reviews from the Desoto location from Mr Chime. I didn't even know there were other locations. Overall 5/10. The 5 is for the Mac balls only....
