Was craving a hot dog on Friday 02.23.24 and came across this place. I ordered for pick up from the Richardson location through the company’s website. When I arrived to pick up my order in the middle of business hours the front doors were locked and the inside from looking through the windows had their chairs stacked on top the tables. I double checked the hours of operation and then called the phone number to which no answer. I wasn’t sure what was going on, I checked the site again which stated open on google as well. I the checked my bank account… maybe they didn’t charge me and after checking they indeed charged my card for the order. At this point I called their 844 number, again no answer, I left a message asking what was going on and letting them know I needed to be refunded immediately. About 20 min after I get an email for a review, so I click the link and in the review state what had just happened. About 10 min after that I get a text from an 877 number telling me that the restaurant is open and I must of gone to the wrong place (I was at the right place as there is literally only one location in Richardson). Clearly whoever franchises and runs the place did not open for business on Friday at all and didn’t notify anybody from the parent company so the location was taking orders with nobody there. After hearing nothing back the entire day I reached out to the Dallas location explaining what had happened and asked if he had contact info for whoever owns the Richardson location, he gave me the info and told me “something bad” must of happened. I then spoke with the original owner(found info online from Richardson chamber of commerce site) who informed me he had sold his stake years ago which and that info was outdated but that he would forward my info and what was going on to the parent company. Well wouldn’t you know it as I was driving by today I saw someone leaving! So I pulled in and went inside to see what was going on. After standing at the front for a couple of minutes and waiting for one of the 2 guys working to address me, this guy walks up and I tell him I need to be refunded for the order I placed Friday. Dude was not happy and responded I refunded already to which I replied how would I know and the clown then just walks off. No info regarding refund no explanation, clearly this disgruntled guy was not happy he had to work the business he franchises. Dog Haus International LLC should probably re-think allowing people like that to franchise...
Read moreDeleted my five star review from three years ago to write this. Don't even know where to start. I've eaten here countless times and had nothing but positive experiences every time, until now.
Music was way too loud, like I could barely hear the employee standing directly in front of me.
Menu has changed, no big deal, but the hotdog I got was legitimately the worst dog I've ever eaten in my life. I took one bite and set the dog down only to have all of the toppings fall right out of the bun. The hotdog itself is very obviously too big to accompany toppings in a Hawaiian roll. Bigger isn't always better.
I informed the gentleman waiting on me that the hotdog they served me "was the worst hot dog I've ever eaten in my life." He said very awkwardly "I'm sorry about that." Asked for the check and the dog that I took one and a half bite out of and pushed forward to indicate I was no longer eating said dog, was still on the bill. Had to ask him to take it off. Very peculiar interaction. If someone told me they had just eaten the worst of anything to me, I would be mortified and quickly try to do anything I can to make things right. This was not done. It's been my experience that usually a manager would like to know why or how things were not good. Guess y'all don't care about customer satisfaction?
Ordered an Irish mule which is listed as Jameson and ginger beer in the description. Received a beverage that had some kind of fruit puree in it, not listed in the description. Asked the gentleman that made the drink and he seemed equally as confused as I did.
Manager was standing at the end of the bar doing inventory. By doing inventory I mean standing in one place asking the only employee to run around to various parts of the restaurant to count stuff. Lazy and disrespectful to not only the customers but to the single employee running the floor. Who wants to hear anyone yell across a room " how much tajin do we have? " Mind you talking louder than the already way too loud music.
Interesting how this place is corporate owned but actually produces a worse product than before in almost every way.
I will say the draft beer was priced more appropriately, but still...
Read more[11/15/2022, $38] I don’t recommend this restaurant. Your money is syphoned by Dog Haus with small beef patties and small tots. A good business for Dog Haus and poor transaction for you. This was our first time. And it was mediocre at best. We aren’t the first timer that this store likes.
My $12 Aioli burger with maybe 6oz beef patty was on par with in-n-out. The $4 tater tots looked like they fried frozen stuffs out of a bag that you get from other fast food restaurants and grocery store frozen section. My companion’s impossible burger was $14.
( Costco sells impossible meat for $1.25 ~ $1.75 per patty, a retail price. Dog Haus up-charges $3 for its impossible burger because it can. Burger King can sell its Impossible Whopper for $3 on Wednesday, and it routinely sells it with its BOGO promotion. Dog Haus touted Creekstone Farms beef costs $140 per 18lb or $1.94 per patty, a retail price. )
Had we ordered soft drinks, we could have paid close to $50.
We could have gone to BJ’s, Olive Garden, Chilis, Panera, or any others for less than what we paid for these burgers.
Then why did we go here, you may ask? My friend searched for vegetarian burger on Uber Eats, and we found the "Plant B." Apparently, this Dog Haus is the Plant B. When we arrived, we couldn't find the Plant B. When we went inside, the cashier informed us. We were there, so we ordered despite of price and marketing discrepancies.
Dog Haus neither has value nor wow factor. I don't know why people go here other than some cool factor/marketing. This restaurant had cool ambience, and it was clean.
We paid $45 that included sales...
