What??? Mind blowing doesn't begin to describe this Indo-Chinese restaurant!
Anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE INDIAN FOOD! When I'm feeling blue, nothing picks me up like prayer, Indian food, and a young adult comedy/love story movie(don't judge me). Red Hot Indo-Chinese and Indian Food right off 75 north in Richardson fits the bill!
This place delivers BIG on service, ambiance, and flavor. Everything is served family style, and whatever you are in the mood for; be it chinese, indian food, or a mash up, you will find it here. Hot & Sour soup, fried rice, triple szechwan noodles, chicken tikka, the list goes on and on!
My Kanna and I ordered cheese naan(which I didn't know was a thing). It was buttery with a sharp cheddar cheese worked into the layers(ya'll know I'm gluten-free, but the bread had me risking it all)! Buhari Chicken, which is the original chicken 65 (and was listed as an appetizer and was nothing of the sort), was spiced to the hilt! Reddish, tenderals of lushly spiced chicken almost made me hurt myself! Accompanied by fluffy basmati rice. The Thai Basil Chicken was a mound of chicken stir-fried with basil, bell peppers, onions, and red/green chiles. It was mind-boggling! Back doored with a tiger, tiger, mocktail of mango and pineapple nectar, grenadine, and lime juice. It was refreshing and addictive. We ended up splitting everything and still had food to take home! It took everything in me not to order rice pudding for the road ( but that would just be greedy).
All in all, Red Hot was absolute bliss. I can't wait to go...
Read moreI have VERY mixed feelings about this location. We went there a couple of days ago, a relatively decent size group (like 11 people including adults and children).
Firstly, looks like the reviews here are for all locations and not just this specific one.
Pros: -Good portion sizes -Overall good taste and quality -Quick service -Great selection and availability
Cons: -For this area, I think this is overpriced. You could go about 10 mins to a place like Spice Wok and they have the same quality but at a much more affordable rate. -Staff (I think) has a very different idea of goals for the location.
I think this restaurant can do very well in this area due to limited availability but I feel that they are running into the same issue that caused ADDA to close, pricing. The pricing would work very well in areas like Frisco or McKinney but looking at the median household income in this area, at these prices, they may suffer. Someone mentioned that their target clientele is InfoSys for lunch but for dinner time, it was extremely slow for a weekend. I think the management would need to do more market analysis for the location and adjust pricing to keep them prosperous at this location. I hope they can do that but for 6 to 10 people, you will most likely spend upwards of $200.
Good Luck Red Hot. You guys do have great food and I hope you all...
Read more(Date: May 10 2024 ,Time 6 PM) I had a worst experience at RED HOT Richardson. Despite clearly stating our vegetarian preferences (no eggs either), we were served shrimp in the chili garlic noodles, which we discovered after several bites. As a strict vegetarian for religious reasons for the past 24 years, this caused mental distress for me and my family. When we brought up the issue with the manager, they responded rudely, showing little concern for our situation. This level of service is not acceptable, especially given our clear dietary restrictions. The cashier’s behavior was really upsetting and disappointing. Even though the mistake was entirely theirs, they chose to argue with us instead of taking responsibility. They brushed off the issue, saying that these things happen and it shouldn't be a big deal since they didn't charge us for the chili garlic noodles. We tried to explain that it wasn't about the money; it was about the impact their oversight had on us. Even after this he tries to raise his...
