Not sure where to begin with this place other than I cannot wait to be able to move out and I rarely leave reviews. I've been here since the complex opened under another management company years ago, however the decline since Windsor came in has been increasingly frustrating. I have addressed concerns with the revolving door of managers we've had in recent years, and while they appear to "hear" you, they do nothing. For example, reported vomit in one of the stairwells twice about 5 months ago. Was told, thanks for letting us know. Vomit is now an encrusted part of the stairwell as it was never cleaned up. We have a new fob system which works so well, the door I typically enter and exit from routinely has a rock propping it open as the fobs don't work for some reason. I have asked the office about this, nothing has been done so I'm either having to walk to a different entrance frequently or am stuck waiting for the door to decide to work daily. Not to mention the garage doors that break so often I'm not sure why we even continue to have them. There are several doors all around the property that have parts of them hanging on by a thread. I was told the staff conducts property walks to look for such things but it is apparent this doesn't occur or these types of items would be regularly addressed. Our pool was shut down this week by the City of Richardson Health Department. Not to mention they chose to drain it and resurface it over Memorial Day weekend. I'm not sure if we have any maintenance on staff that know how to care for a pool as it is very often the color of pond water. None of the lights in or surrounding the pool come on at night anymore which I imagine poses a safety risk but not sure how they would ever know. The gate to the pool itself hasn't actually functioned as a real gate in months. Trash is a comical topic as we get many emails reminding people the rules yet nobody enforces them resulting in trash bags being out and leaking in the hallways for days at a time, not to mention whatever pile up is happening in the garages. Maintenance doesn't seem to know how to fix much especially if the issue is not actively happening at the time they decide to enter your apartment. And when they leave, your apartment may have shoe prints on the floors, random lights left on, there's no consideration for leaving your home as they found it when they entered. I recently had an issue with a running toilet which I had to have addressed multiple times. I received super high water charges for the last two bills spanning this time period. The office finally decided to credit me for the previous bill mainly I think because they were tired of me calling, but this month when I called with concern over an even higher bill again, after having to make 5 phone calls and messages since we don't have an official property manager and the office staff have no concept of customer service...I was basically told this is now my problem to take up with the utility billing company. I had to take time out of my day to call that third party only to be told that they could not help me directly and it would be on Windsor to assist. Again, excellent customer service. The upkeep on this community in comparison to those surrounding it is a joke. The occasional project they choose to take on seems to always be only half or less than half completed and certainly without any oversight or confirmation from management. I know that staffing is hard right now and turnover is ongoing, but the lack of care in general from the site staff that exists and the management company overall leads me to not ever want to consider living at any Windsor community much less to refer anyone to Windsor Cityline. I even reached out to corporate and received and email asking for a time to chat. I responded with 2 days I was available....over a month ago. No response. This place has so much potential and is in a great area, but if you're considering moving here, my two cents....spare yourself the constant frustration and disappointment and pick a difference...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to tour this place on Tuesday and had one of the most disrespectful, experiences of my life. To give a little background. I found this apartment and was interested in it so I scheduled an in person tour for Saturday 5/30 @ 3:00pm. Drove about 45mins only to get there and receive a call saying my tour needed to be rescheduled because of the protest. So I asked them to reschedule for Tuesday that following week at the same time. Later got an email saying it was rescheduled as requested. On Tuesday I was running a few minutes late and so I called the office to let them know but no one answered so I left a message saying Iād be running late. Got there and the office was locked. Stood outside for a while then one of the female employees came to the door and asked what I need. She did not even open the door for me so I was basically yelling through a glass in order for her to hear me. Then she left, and came back a few mins later. opened the door. I tried to walk inside and she basically told me to stay outside. Told me I didnāt have an appointment. I tried explaining to her that YesI do. I even have an email saying I have an appointment. She asked what time the appointment was for and I told her and then she asked me āand what time is it nowā I explained to her, I tried calling to inform then I would be running late but no one answered. She then closed the door again leaving me outside. When she did that the second time I considered leaving but I drove a really long distance and didnāt want it to be in vain. Another female employee came back outside a few mins later and was much nicer, she told me we could reschedule or she could send me picture of the floor plan I was interested. I agreed to the latter and was about to leave when they offered to give me a tour of the apartment. The first employee and I went up to the unit. she opened the door and I could feel her just rushing me through. I didnāt even feel comfortable at this point. The tour of the Unit took about 2-3mins . She didnāt even show me the amenities. On our way back down we walked past the gym. And I asked her if that was the gym and she said yes and just kept waking. No additional information what so ever. At the end of the tour I asked if she could email me the floor plans I was interested in and their leasing rates and she said yes I still havenāt received anything. For such a good looking apartment this staff was extremely rude and I felt disrespected. Anyone looking to lease here needs to seriously reconsider because this is the staff that you will be dealing with if you have questions, or needs that should be address. If you donāt care about how people treat you or like being dismissed at least...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMoved out about a month ago after living here for two years, so here's my final review. Go somewhere else, you'll thank yourself later. The rent for a 1-bedroom apartment can get you a 3-bedroom house a block over, and you'd have a much better living space in general. The apartments look nice as a first impression, but the windows aren't insulated so every summer, your living room turns into an oven. The kitchens also have the ventilation of a plastic bag, so have fun setting off the smoke alarm every time you boil water. I've had a few packages stolen out of the mail room when they wouldnt fit in an Amazon locker and security to prevent that is minimal. The security system on the doors and parking garage also only works half the time, so be prepared for delivery drivers to call you asking about a building code that doesn't exist. In addition, good luck if your toll tag can't be read by the scanner on the garage or if your information was put in wrong. I was stranded outside the garage for 2+ hours on several occasions when the door system screwed up, but you might get lucky and have the door fail entirely where they'll just leave it wide open for a week straight. This seems to happen quite often, but never when you need it to. On-call maintenence doesn't exist outside of standard business hours even when the request is marked as an emergency and there is no on-site security officer despite what the service phone line says. Trash pickup apparently has some dispute going on, so trash just piles up in the parking garage and people seem to have a bad habit of missing the dumpster chute with last night's leftovers. General etiquette has also been on the downhill because every now and then, the whole hallway would just magically smell like weed. Their property manager used to be good with fixing problems if you managed to get her attention, but she quit a while back and from everyone I've talked to, the place is in a tailspin trying to get her replaced. To top everything off, the rent payment portal has only ever been made more complicated over time and has been outsourced to so many different companies that they don't even know their own due dates. At the time of writing this, I'm dealing with yet another payment company to get move-out charges settled because the due date listed on the bill was incorrect and the necessary information to settle the account was not included in any preceeding emails. If you're looking to rent an apartment in the area,...
