I literally live upstairs and have been beating myself up for not joining the first 9 months I’ve lived in this apartment cause it’s SO convenient and SO helpful! They do such a great job welcoming you and making you feel like a family, which keeps you motivated to go work out! I’ve always been the type to keep a gym membership and never go, so it’s a surprise that I’m actually excited to get into a workout! Every week is a different schedule so it doesn’t get monotonous. There are people at every fitness level and modifications are given if I can’t do certain exercises. Just signed up as an official member and couldn’t be happier about it. There’s no excuse for not having time to get downstairs for a 45 min effective workout!
8 MONTH UPDATE:
Listen up y'all cause I'm about to give the realest review there is 🗣 I have been attending Burn Boot Camp since September of 2021 which makes this my 8th month here - longer than many relationships I've had and definitely more reliable and consistent. badumtsss
I started coming here when I was still living upstairs in the apartments, meaning I had ZERO excuse to not walk myself down 3 flights of stairs and make it to at least one of the classes of the day. What I love the MOST about this is that it really does become your workout family. When I didn't show up for almost an entire month after my dad was hospitalized, Dave actually reached out on IG to check on me and make sure I was good. I can't tell you how much that meant to me.
Everyone keeps each other accountable in the most non-judgmental way. I find myself missing my fellow Burn members when I don't see them for a while even if it's just because we sometimes attend different classes. Each day is extremely challenging and if you look like you're not being challenged, best believe they're going to ADD INTENSITY for you! I've always loved weight lifting and strength training and I've done more weight for more reps here than I've ever been able to challenge myself to do at a regular gym where I work out alone.
Whether you're looking to just maintain an active lifestyle, create better habits or get that summer box right... this is definitely the place to go. In a matter of 8 months I've gained so much confidence not only in the way I look and feel but also in how strong I am and how much more I am capable of inside the gym. Do I ever NOT die when I do cardio and conditioning? No... but that is also what's so fun cause after you have an amazingly hard workout, you keep wanting to come back for more. "It's like a reward"
And if you are wondering about the coaches themselves, I have had the pleasure of being trained by each and every one of them and they are all AMAZING! I've never felt happier having a gym membership, and I know anyone who gives Burn a chance won't regret it!
(and if you've made it to the bottom of this essay, know that this is a 100% honest review but I also did it because they promised a box of really delicious protein bars for the best review... and I know I write...
Read moreI’ve been attending this location since around December and this is definitely a group of trainers you want on your side. Coming into a new fitness geared lifestyle change with a permanent disability, I’m able to modify when I need to and able to see progress. I was always fearful working out when I was younger and in High School and College, because I viewed my Cerebral Palsy as a limitation.
If you ever have a reason that you can’t do a normal workout, the trainers demo several other alternatives you can do instead but still work the same muscle groups. The trainers are real attentive to my needs and are still available to walk around and help everyone else when they need assistance.
Burn is a more cost effective experience compared to something more traditional like LA Fitness. In addition, with membership, you have access to the other Burn locations.
Consistency and you’re own accountability to push yourself is key to...
Read moreIf you’re looking for an intense workout that will get your body moving this is the place. The community is supportive and friendly. The focus meetings with the trainers are unparalleled outside of an expensive personal trainer. You’ll never be bored as the classes always change. There is a shower! The childcare is complementary. HOWEVER, there is a screen in the child area. I was told that it would either be off or turned on for a short amount of time. So it bothered me when I would be exercising and active just to look over and see my child lounging on a beanbag chair watching (mindless!) television. I don’t wish to let my kiddos watch that amount of screen time multiple times per week just so I can get my workouts in. If all that makes you roll your eyes or give me a side eye, then screen time probably isn’t a priority for you, or maybe you don’t have small children. This is an excellent studio, so go forth...
