Today was a really unpleasant day at this store. I have never had the manager be so rude before. One of the employees moved my cart, perhaps thinking it didn't belong to anyone. In the cart was my jacket, my daughter's jacket, and my daughter's tablet. When I realized the cart wasn't there, I tracked my cell phone, which was inside my jacket pocket, and they had it at the checkout counter. When I asked the manager where my car was, she answered that she didn't know that they had only taken the jacket. I asked her if I could check with the employees to see if any of them had moved it, so she went to ask one of them. She never gave me an answer. I was waiting and since I didn't see her tell me anything, I approached her again to ask if she had heard anything, to which she answered that she was not responsible for leaving the cars there and that the boy who she thought had moved it had gone to break. I asked her how long I had to wait and she answered very rudely and angrily that it was not her problem, that she did not know what time the boy had gone to break and she also did not know what time he would return. To which in the same tone that she answered me, I told her that if there was no u. break time I don't know 10 or 20 minutes I wanted to know how long I had to wait she got more angry and rude and told me no that it was not her problem and started talking to one of the cashiers in a mocking way. I asked her if I could check if the car was around her and she told me no that she had things to do and that I should go check if I wanted to. I was really angry at the way she behaved mockingly, rudely and it cost her nothing to tell me how long I had to wait at that moment I just wanted to know if she could give me my daughter's jacket because she only had a short t-shirt and I couldn't take her outside in this cold weather. When I told the manager there that I had asked her in a nice way about my car, that she didn't have to be rude, that I understood that she had other things to do but that I only asked her to tell me how long I had to wait, that how did she think I would get my little girl out like that without a jacket, she just continued to behave rudely, it made me very angry, so I answered her badly. It's really sad that they have such a rude manager who doesn't even know where they put the things they move, like cars in this case. I just wanted to not take my 4-year-old daughter out without a jacket. Finally, she angrily asked me if I wanted to leave a phone number, to which I replied, "Why haven't you said that before?" and in a nice way without being rude.I was talking to security when the guy who moved my car arrived. He handed me my things. The security guard was nice as was the guy. But I had to tell the manager that she was rude and that it was bad that she was the one in charge of the store and obviously I didn't...
Read moreI live close to the store and it is always super busy. The workers do the best they can to keep up with the store. I highly assume because of management is why this store has a high turnover. As I’ve mentioned I live close to this location so I am in here, probably once a week and have seen many new faces. My last experience was absolutely upsetting with the store manager, Catherine. I was waiting in A very long line watching her encounter with two new black employees. This whole time I’m in line she has been rude to them. Her tone, her attitude just everything was disheartening to watch. Making comments like “That wasn’t very smart” “Idk why you would do that” “ Everyone knows to do this” And this whole time she is complaining and fussing about what they’re doing wrong. She not once offered to hop on the register to assist them with this long line. I have worked in retail and I have been a manager. The best kind of manager is giving support to your employees and instead she’s at their throats for simple mistakes. I approached one of the lawyers to ask for her name and information so that I can file a complaint. The young woman was Hesitant to give me that information and shaking her head and telling me no so I told her to grab Catherine so that I can ask Catherine herself for this information since was uncomfortable. Catherine comes up to the counter and ask me how can she help me and I just wanted to know her name in the information to complain about the way that she’s speaking to the employees. She gives me her name and then says you could’ve asked the employees for that information and when I explained to her that I tried, but I can tell that they were uncomfortable that was the first red flag for me. Its like they were terrified of losing their job. Catherine didn’t want to give me the correct information to make my complaint. She told me that the best option would be to complain to another store manager she would not give me general manager information. She would not give me a website or a hotline number. She then walked away from me and I made a comment to the young lady and just let her know that, she could do better and not allow anybody to speak to her. Catherine then gets upset that I’m standing up for these young employees because they don’t wanna stand up for themselves and she starts asking them if she was treating them bad and says out loud, we have a good relationship just not letting the employees speak for themselves . When I told her she was wrong for her actions , she then asked security to escort me out of the store. At this time I wasn’t being belligerent, I was not being dangerous to anybody, no threats were made. I was just simply making a statement and telling her that she is being very rude and disrespectful to her young employees. I guarantee they will not...
Read moreI like the inventory at Burlington but they have been understaffed and struggling for years. Filthy, picked over, and skeleton crews at 3 of the Burlington's in the Twin Cities. Half an hour wait to pay. Inventory literally laying on the floor in piles. I felt so bad for the LP guy. He said hello and we chatted for a minute when I entered and asked him a question. Very cool guy. I returned the next day for an exchange and his face looked like it was put through a meat grinder! He must have confronted a shoplifter. I have to give credit to these brave people still out there trying to make a difference and do the right thing with how terrible everything is! Anyway the cashier was rude. What a surprise. I had a return the first night and she said I couldn't return a dress shirt because I didn't have the Burlington tags. But I had the shirt tags and receipt and returned a couple other ones. I didn't argue because of the 15 people waiting to be checked out behind me but I know she could have looked it up. All I wanted was an exchange. Anyway I don't usually go there for reasons like this. Too many choices. I do think that the executives that run Burlington should all go and help out their understaffed, underpaid, hot mess stores. You guys can reschedule your golf and spa and lunches for a different...
