I used Mr. Tuxedo for my wedding (just my suit) and was very pleased until I arrived for the preliminary pick-up. The wedding was on Saturday and they said to be there on Thursday so they could overnight any pieces that did not fit. No other detail was provided, so I planned on getting in on Thursday. I took a day of vacation so I could be there on Thursday. We got in at 5ish (they close at 6 pm). Well, we found out that my vest did not fit, but they said something to the effect of "Your vest won't come in tomorrow because it's after x time of day." I was never told this on the phone and expressed that I was very frustrated that I did what they said to the letter (i.e. show up on Thursday and took vacation) and I get there and am given that. This seems like a very elementary mistake to omit the detail of "Be here before x time" that experienced and successful businesspeople should definitely not be making. My uncle had to basically spend his entire morning until lunch on SATURDAY (the DAY OF THE WEDDING) waiting for the item to get rushed from the UPS store to Mr. Tuxedo. I ultimately was able to get my vest, but it was extremely stressful at a time when I need less stress. I went with this store originally because of the good reviews, but I sincerely cannot recommend using them for weddings because I need a business that I can rely on. After my experience with Mr. Tuxedo, I can, unfortunately, say that I can not rely on them and would not recommend them for any...
Read moreI first went to Mens warehouse and noticed I was just like everyone else. Everyone went there too without hesitation. My experience at mens warehouse was horrible. Not only were there a lot of people but there was no organization. People were being helped that had walked in after me. Then the workers were stressed so of course they weren’t in the best mood when dealing with customers. I walked right out! Went on over to Mr.Tuxedo and as soon as I walked in i knew it was family operated. They got RIGHT to me even when they had 2 or 3 people being helped. They are very good at reading people and how to treat one person compared to another cause you know we’re all different! The price was HALF of what Mens warehouse was asking for. It’s totally worth mentioning they had an entire buffet of snacks, fresh cut fruit, Hispanic ice creams, fresh made fruit drinks, COLD bottles of water etc. I saved an easy $120 for a pant and jacket rental and they didn’t even charge me for a colored tie and pocket square. This is a business I will be taking my money to over the years. Black suit, brown suit, navy blue suit etc. I immediately wanted a stack of business cards to give to all my friends so they don’t have to break the bank just to dress...
Read moreI’m a groomsman for a wedding, and the cost to rent slacks, white shirt, suspenders, and bow tie was $185+ after tax. Since I already had everything except for the slacks, I decided to purchase them through Mr. Tuxedo. The price for unknown brand of the slacks was $90, which fine whatever since I had to have the same ones. The part that was bad was the fact that they did not hem the slacks, and failed to inform me that hemming would not be included in the cost. I was better off going to banana republic to buy the slacks, which come hemmed of course. I tried to go back to get it fixed, but they told me they don’t hem them for pants that are purchased. If you’re looking for affordable groomsmen attire, whether it’s for purchase or rent, I suggest going elsewhere.
I’m unable to add a picture of the pants, but now I have to go somewhere else and spend more money to get the pants hemmed
ETA: Mr. Tuxedo did call and offered to fix the problem after reading my review. I will be taking them somewhere else, but I do appreciate the response and attempt to fix...
