⸻👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼 I recently visited Taqueria Taxco for the first time and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. I ordered 2 al pastor tacos and 2 asada tacos. The al pastor was just average—not the worst I’ve had, but definitely not memorable. The asada tacos were more like barbacoa, which was unexpected, and the meat was on the greasy side. One of the biggest letdowns was the salsa. Instead of fresh salsa, they provided packets, which took away from the authentic taqueria experience. The salsa itself wasn’t good, and the lime, cilantro, and diced onions served on the side seemed old. On a positive note, the grilled serrano pepper and onions they included were decent. The portion sizes were small, and the price felt too high for the amount of meat provided. Overall, between the quality, presentation, and cost, I can’t recommend this place.

It was my first time trying this place and I was very disappointed. I ordered a pound of barbacoa and was super fatty and greasy. The barbacoa had a game taste and knew right away it was barbacoa de cabeza. I also ordered menudo. The broth was good but the meat was very thick and chewy and not cut in small pieces. It didn’t have hominy. The tortillas they gave me were not even fully heated. I wasted $30 and had to throw away the food. I wouldn’t recommend the barbacoa and menudo.

Ordered 18 tamales from the one in NRH, TX on Blvd 26 for New Years; the red with pork, and the green with chicken and let me tell you, those tamales were AMAZING! (And huge, see pics) We were served two 32 oz drinks while we waited, one horchata and one mango passion fruit Aqua Fresca for free, also excellent! The owners were very kind and the service was exceptional! Can’t wait to go back and try their other menu items!

It was really bad I had the nachos taste it awful. but even worse than that first off the man behind the counter that was taking the orders and cooking the orders he couldn't speak English well luckily I do speak Spanish. And then I asked him I said don't y'all even wear gloves because he was taking the money doing the cash register handing food to people and cooking food and when I asked him don't you wear gloves he says well if we wore gloves we'd have to be taking them off all the time so we just wash our hands after every time . but I watched him and they do forget to wash their hands. I know I'll never go back. If I could give no stars I would...
