Our group wanted to try something different tonight. So, this was the perfect opportunity to expand our horizons. It's a small place but we'll lit and easy to find. We parked in the back and walked in and we're able to be seated very quickly.
We really enjoyed this family owned restaurant. We were a large group. The waitress was gracious and welcoming . She took the time to explain the menu and suggest items. She answered all of our questions.
The quality of the food was so high. You could see the care and time taken to prepare and present our orders. Everything was made fresh and presented quickly
We had sambusas and wings as appetizers. The wings had a brilliant sauce. The sambusas were beautiful and filled with an array of warm flavors. The hot sauce served with it, was equally brilliant. The spice was so complementary to the meat.
At our waitresses suggestion, I had the goat kabob. The meat was perfect and exploded with flavor. The smells and flavors that filled the air, were mesmerizing.
They have a patio out back that would be a perfect place to watch a game. The bar was ready to serve various drinks. The atmosphere was quaint and absolutely welcoming.
We noticed there were several Uber eats drivers who came to get take out orders. They never waited long at all.
We will absolutely be returning. I highly...
Read moreDecided to try something new and found this place called Tam Tam Zing's Cafe. It's listed as an East African restaurant. Their menu is simple but delicious. I ordered lamb kabobs but will try the goat kabobs next time. My wife had a goat plate and it was very tasty. Hard to find anything like it in this area. The soup reminded me of gumbo but with goat. They also have happy hour every day from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. I was very impressed by the size and strength of the margaritas! Well worth the price of admission! Chicken wings were also half off during happy hour! They were out of sambusa when we arrived but by the time we were leaving they had some and put one in our to go box. We actually ate it in the car before leaving because it smelled so good!
We're planning to go back again today...
Read moreI felt like my food was warmed up and poured into the togo bowls. It tasted nice and the jollof rice was quite interesting. I paid about $6 for a bowl of jollof rice and $16 for pilau. Which ended up having about 7 little pieces of meat in it. Will attach pics and videos The atmosphere felt good. The service was polite, although I had to wait about 15 minutes even though when I ordered over the phone and I was told 15 minutes, I left home 12 minutes after ordering with a 5 minute drive. The portion was not generous enough, in my opinion. I will try them again because the owner advised I order the meat called some local name (Rwandese) cant remember now. Since my main aim was the food I will give a 3...
