9/25/2022 - Harbor Freight Tools 7523 26 Blvd, North Richland Hills, TX $164.96 Transaction #993919
Today's transaction did not process correctly. After punching in my debit card pin 2 times it was telling Lisa the cashier a denied transaction. When I logged into my bank on my phone I could see that a Harbor Freight withdrawal for the same amount coming out of my checking account. Asking for the manager a female manager(no name tag) and a male manager(Brandon) came to the register and were incredibly insensitive and completely reluctant to be helpful in any way. These 2 could do nothing except tell me it was not a valid transaction and I was just going to have to trust that $164.95 was going to "roll off" (as Brandon put it) with no time frame or documentation of this transaction taking place at all. I asked several times for documentation indicating this transaction did not process however I was denied repeatedly. It wasn't until my husband requested to void the transaction and walk him through a transaction history that I was finally provided with some kind of documentation of what was happening. Brandon still did not want or know how to provide the information I was requesting and expected me to walk out of his store with a charge to my account and no merchandise or documentation. I had to leave the store with a charge to our account and no merchandise. Even though this charge will fall off in a day or two this is an incredible inconvenience. In the event you are unaware of how checking accounts work, once a pending charge is swiped through a business system, my available funds decrease until the charge either clears or falls off. You're a professional company. I am a mother of 3 and your unprofessional error has severely hindered my family for who knows how long because no one there could tell me when this transaction would "roll off"
Edit to say: Thank you Jeff Skopek for acknowledging my difficulties...
Read moreWith this being my second time ever in this store I felt so overwhelmed with thre honey do list given to me by my husband! I am an avid shopper for clothing & home furnishings and such but when it came to tools etc.; I quickly found out I gave myself more credit than what was do.
After walking around the store for about an hour I came across a young man named Shea. In asking for assistance in locating a couple of items; he was more than accommodating! As I shared with him my stress level; Shea continued to comfort me by saying "no, don't feel that way; that's what we're here for"! After circling around the store to continue my honey do list, I migrated back to Shea because I found that I needed additional help. Shea & the store manager Tino jumped right in, offering their assistance! I was floored to say the least!!!
What has become a horrid experience solely due to my not being familiar with the store & being out of my element ended up being the best shopping experience of my entire life! The customer service they provided me with; their knowledge of the products within the stores;, their personal attention to detail while making their customers feel comfortable even when describing a took as "that thing you use to cut off stuff" is unmatched! These two young men need to be recognized not only by myself but by upper management! These two men unselfishly gave of themselves and seen me through the very end on my shopping!
Kudos to Shea & Tino for going above & beyond! You make Harboe Fright Tools look real good!
As a footnote; I sat in the parking lot writing this review because it was that important to me & to insure that my appreciation & gratitude equals their level of customer service! I...
Read moreWell the first iteam I bought from harbor frieght was there engine stand. The stand was not assembled no big deal. Brought it home and was assembling it to find out that it was missing the casters. Not ideal but ok it happens. Went to Ace Hardware bought 3 casters and welded them on. Works fine. Thisbweek I went to there parking lot sale of Hwy 26 in North Richland Hills Bought a 3 ton Jack, 2 ton engine picker. As they were bringing me the boxes I saw that one was torn. I told them I didn't want that box they told me sir I assure you that every thing is in the box it tore when I took it off the shelf. Reluctantly I agreed to take the box. Fast forward two days and I am taking every thing out of the box to assemble and go figure I open it and I am missing two casters. I call the store where I purchased it talked to the manager and told me that I need to load it up and bring it back to the store and they would exchange it. I told her I am not going to disassemble and package it back up and take it to the store for two casters I told here there has to be another option. She told me there isn't I told her if I bring it back I am not exchanging it I am returning it and it will be the last time I shop at Harbor Frieght "Sam" the manager that works for her I don't have to shop with them. Well guess what I wont be shopping with your store or brand again and will let everyone I know how they treat a paying customer. This is the exact reason why I am a Mac Tool man all the way they do not argue with customers and make mistake right. Well manager "Sam" her is my imput to anyone who is thinking about shopping with your store. I would actually give you zero stars if there was an option for it. Sincerly, One...
