Usually one of my favorites as far as food. I ordered the 40.00 minimum for delivery, only needed dinner for myself but ordered extra. Food arrived kinda cold which is fine cuz I can warm it in my oven. But I am pretty ticked that I ordered the 4 ounce peanut sauce and did not receive it nor did I receive the sm sour sauces that come with the emerald butterflies and the spring rolls, not upset mad I didn't receive them so much as the attitude of the guy on the phone. He had a jerky attitude and proceeded to tell me he put them in with the spring rolls which I told him he didn't and I don't have them. He didn't offer to send them to me but instead told me that I had them and when I repeated that I was looking in all the food and the bag and didn't have them he told said whatever, I did. Totally ticked and told him no he didn't, they are not here and can he send them. He still had an attitude and didn't answer right away and then said when the driver gets back. I have them now but his attitude was highly unprofessional and made me very mad. Won't order again for delivery or pick up at all. May go back to eat at the establishment after Covid is over, I will have to really think about it. No longer a favorite of...
Read moreIn addition to offering delicious food and a full bar, Emerald of Siam gives those who walk through its doors an experience unlike any other in the Tri-Cities. They are the best venue in town for live music and other unique and interesting performances. There's always something happening, from recurring Geeks Who Drink trivia and karaoke nights to special belly dance performances and art shows.
It's evident in every aspect of the ambiance that this is a local haven for artists, dreamers, and free spirits of all ages and ethnicities. The decor is as eclectic as the patrons, with nearly every surface embellished by imaginative local artists, who have left their marks on the walls, table tops, and even the doors of the single-room, gender-neutral bathrooms.
Did I mention the food?! In addition to their regular menu, earlier in the day they have an all-you-can eat buffet. They serve familiar Thai foods like pad Thai and various curry dishes. The wait staff is super friendly and they quickly come to know regulars.
The overall effect of dining or being entertained at Emerald of Siam is that if you go often enough, you begin to feel like you are in a real-life Cheers episode, but in a much much cooler, more...
Read moreThis might be the first negative restaurant review I've taken the time to write. I have no current plans to return here. I used to love this place and have been eating here since the early 90s. The atmosphere is still cool, but the food and service aren't good anymore. The last 2 times I've been I got food to go. Both times, it was not made to my specifications. I asked for 3* spicy and got 90 year old IBS patient bland. My wife got the chicken and bean curds and threw away the left overs. In the past we've fought over the wings. I ate one and didn't want another. When I called to complain, they told me if I came back in they would give me some spices to add to the food. I went back, it did help a little. But now I've made two trips and my food still wasn't very good and I've tipped someone to screw up my order and not really make it right. Maybe you'll have a better experience there than my recent experiences have been. I'm not willing to risk $50...
