I moved here half a year ago and my first order of business was finding an authentic taqueria. was shocked at some of the recommendations people gave me as they were not even close to real tacos (aka; en su boca 🤮). So I Had to do my very own research and was blown away when i found this little yet powerful spot. They have all your Mexican food needs but for me the most special was the fact that they had a taco platter with not one but TWO sides!! I mean what more perfect meal and bang for your buck could you get than this !? plus if you get it to go they always include free chips and salsa. They have all the traditional meats as well, not just some boring chicken and ground beef options. They are flavorful and seasoned just right, paired with some spicy yet delicious sauces and of course, with cilantro & onions. Not only that but the people working there are one of the nicest and most caring people. They’re always providing amazing service.

my only negative comment would be that they should add pineapple pieces to their al pastor meat. the OG way. nonetheless the meat itself is delicious.

If you want real, authentic, non-commercialized tacos within the inner part of richmond / the city this is your...

My wife and I were visiting from out town. We looked up reviews on Mexican food and this place had great reviews. Sadly they were wrong. When we walked in you can tell the air smelt old and there was very little to no air movement. Then we were seated and served chips and salsa immediately. The chips tasted old and the salsa was okay. Wife and I both ordered chicken fajitas. You get 2 free sides when ordering fajitas. So we both really wanted beans and rice. She got black beans and I got pinto beans. Everything was fresh out of the can. Literally they give you separate plates for your sides and you can tell they scooped it out of can into the microwave onto your plate. No seasoning no effort. We thought it was weird that our fajitas didn't come with Tortilla shells but were okay with it if our sides tasted good. We didn't want to pay extra for tortillas since we were so disappointed in the sides. The chicken itself was okay, but I just couldn't get over the lack luster sides, chips and ambiance. They were very friendly, very...

Not satisfied at all. I ordered a chicken taco salad, and since I couldn't leave, I sent one of our valet employees to pick it up for me. Valet got really busy, so I attempted to call to ask for a courtesy remake or for them to at least dump my salad into a fresh tortilla shell, no prevent sogginess, but never received an answer after about 5 tries. The valet employee ended up getting it about 30 minutes after the ready time, and when he asked for a remake or a new crispy tortilla in person, "we don't do remakes" is what he says they spat at him with attitude. Now even after all of this, I thought it was okay, my fault for not arriving on time. But when I opened the salad it was SHRIMP!!! Not chicken I ordered. I was so disgusted I just gave the salad away. But I won't be eating there again, and unless I receive some type of acknowledgement of this event. At least an apology, I'll be sure no guest that stay at this hotel (right up the street where I work front desk) will never eat...

Great little Mexican place in the city of Richmond. We are at GalaxyCon and needed to take a break and grab something to eat, so we went for a short walk and ended up finding Ay Caramba. It wasn't overly busy, so we were able to get seated pretty quickly. We very much enjoyed everything. My wife got a little taco bowl, and I got a couple of tacos with some sweet plantains. First thing the plantains were out of this world! The tacos were very fresh and tasty, and my wife liked her food as well. Thought the salsa was really good. They have a nice little bar area. Not a huge menu, but it seems like what they do have they do very well. They do have a little patio outside with a couple of tables, so if it's a nice day, you can enjoy the sun.

This place is fantastic. To start off with, the restaurant itself is super cute and feels like an authentic place from Mexico. They also have lots of cool art and handmade items. And now for the food! Love, love, love. I got the burrito with the Ay Caramba chipotle chicken + mushroom & peppers, with all the toppings, and it was delicious. Flavorful and juicy, with just the right amount of kick. And I have had a long time love affair with their queso con cilantro, so I had to get it again today. And it’s just as good as always. If you’re a cilantro fan and queso fan, try this!!! They also have other variations of queso, like a jalapeño one or chorizo one. Plus the staff is so nice.

We came here looking for Mexican food After walking around downtown happy to find this place we ordered a chorizo burrito and tacos, including Carne Asada chorizo, and Al Pastor paired with a couple of Victoria beers The place is clean. The service was amazing and the staff was very friendly. Ayme was our server and she made us feel welcome. By the way during our visit they gave us Chips and Salsa and it was so good that we requested more. The decor inside the restaurant was pretty nice.
