Elder's Ace Hardware - Ringgold — Local services in Ringgold

People all too often are quick to complain but forget to acknowledge positive customer service. My wife and I both truly appreciate the kindness and professionalism demonstrated by the personnel at Elders Ace, Ringgold. You walk in and you will be warmly greeted. You will be asked by multiple employees if you need assistance. I appreciate that I can come in with a technical question and every effort will be made to accommodate my request. Many times, the staff makes a suggestion that is simpler than what I had in mind. Can't beat getting good advice and saving money. Like most businesses the pandemic has created some time periods where staff has been stretched thin, but they still get the job done. Phil, the store manager is warm and personable and will work to make you happy if something is not what you expected. Mike has helped me more times than I can count. He takes time to look up answers, part numbers, check availability at other locations, and if he says he will call you back when he finds an answer you can rest assured, he will. Annette and Jeremy are two other individuals who will help in any way they can. They have a great Stihl repair shop run by Toby. He is an excellent mechanic and has repaired many things I have managed to thoroughly foul up. Ringgold is lucky to have this store and I hope locals will support our local businesses before running off to a big box store. So, yes, I am a fan of Elders Ace, Ringgold. If I could give more stars to these exceptional people I would. My fiance and I are expecting a baby in October and were just coming in for a can of paint and some brushes for some baby furniture crafts. Needless to say we ended up locking our keys AND our phones in our vehicle before we even got into the store and I never imagined that we would have the service that we experienced. One of the associates allowed us to use her personal phone to see if we could arrange a family member to bring us our spare. To our dismay, all of our family just so happened to be out of town. So we ask the manager if they had any tool sets that would allow us to get into our vehicle and without hesitation he let one of his employees drive us to our home to get our spare key. We only live 5 miles from the store, but we are forever greatful and thankful for the wonderful employees who were kind enough to help us out of a sticky situation. I will never buy hardware supplies and paint anywhere else but with these great folks. We literally cannot thank them enough, and a shout out to Mason for toting us home! When I bought a home in Ringgold a few years ago, relocating over 1000 miles from my family, Elders was one of my first stops for a few odds and ends I needed. Quickly I began to know many of the team members on a first name basis. Every time they go above and beyond to give helpful advice, great service, & always incredibly friendly. From assembling & delivering a wheelbarrow I purchased that wouldn’t fit in my vehicle, to advising me on some of the best / safest local trails to go running on (along with a map), & most recently helping me pick out an air compressor/accessories I needed for it after a broken gas station compressor severely deflated two tires…they also made sure that not only I left with the compressor but filled my tires back up so I could get home safely! I wish I could squeeze all the impactful interactions into one review. But Elders in Ringgold feels like family. I know I can trust them to give me the same advice my Dad would give me when he can’t be here to help me on every project...
