Great Store Usually have my parts this is just a review of their staff.
Kelly needs to work on her customer communication skills, because I cant find the correct fuel level sensor for my 94 pick up. She wanted to argue that all fuel sensor units(in the tank) have a fuel pump on them and ordered a part saying that it didn't have one. Then I drove in, 45 min round trip, to find out it had a pump which she had ordered in for me is the wrong one. Then when I mentioned this, she said "ALL OF THEM" have pumps she "NEVER has seen it with out a pump, how is the fuel get to the engine," "there isn't one on your engine". Well I had replaced the one on my engine so that's not right I guess she failed out of High School because she doesn't understand suction. I have worked in customer survive if the customer is in fact wrong just let think its wrong and let them go on their marry way. It was wrong and she wasted my time by thinking she had some O'Reilly's gods superior knowledge over myself a clearly stupid customer. This all said the store is fine place, just stay away from Kelly i think she just wants to argue with people she was hostile to other customers while...
Read moreDuring a DIY brake pad replacement, I wanted to get the rotors turned to true up the surfaces. The tech (or counter clerk, we're not talking highly skilled operators here) called me in to show that the rotors had about 1/8" of runout! There's never been a runout problem with my car, no pulsing brake pedal or other issues. I insisted he remove the rotor, then I checked the spindle and centering cone on his lathe before remounting. Runout was about .030 this time, still not good, but able to be turned.
After reinstalling the rotors, I now had pulsing in my brakes. Their lathe either had its own runout problem on the centering cone or simply a bent shaft. I probably should have insisted on some sort of compensation since they ruined what were still serviceable parts, but I chose not to fight it since I had okayed it after seeing the initial mounting problems.
I ended up buying new rotors from a different shop. Cost me $80 for that $20 turning. No pulsing with the new parts, brakes operated just as...
Read moreMy check engine light popped up when driving home from work. I stopped in at the orielly store in River falls. I was greeted by Noah and Bailey. They asked what I was in for, I told them about the check engine light. Noah immediately grabbed the tool and proceeded to ask which vehicle was mine. After a quick test, he pulled up the diagnosis on his computer and explained the issue. I needed a new oil pressure sensor. He then explained they had the part in stock and could send me out with it same day. He even went so far as to recommend a local auto shop that could do the installation for me. A very pleasant experience overall. Great customer service. Keep it...
