I'm going to only be able to speak on trying to sell something to them here as I have not attempted to purchase anything from them as yet.
I've brought in some question marks more than once. They know what they know. Coins are a sure thing for them. Silver is iffy as they don't have a way to bore it on site. At any rate, they will give you the lowest number only and act like snobs if you don't want it. I understand that what I have, they have hundreds of probably, but still, they will make money off of you. Like I sold them some coins. Nothing too exciting, but they were silver and near mint. A couple probably were. They were made into a clock and never circulated. Obviously, if you are in the coin world, there's money to be made there. I understand the process, got no clue where to go about it or enough knowledge to see the parts that would make it more or less valuable. That's their job. It's why I took the coins there....they gave me scrap silver price for it all and the lowest amount they could.
Argument could be made that a lot of places won't buy scrap silver even though they claim to. And they will look at anything you bring them and give you what I hope is their honest opinion because I've accepted it ad fact every time I've went there whether I liked what they said or not. So I feel like they're not a pawn shop. Nor are they a scrap yard. They are coin and jewelery specialists. The combination makes them willing to look at possible precious metals as a jewelry store would. I'd recommend them even if they weren't the only place like it in the area, again though, I've only been there...
Read moreFirst off, I was kinda in a hurry and wasn’t thinking. That being said, I brought 4 rings too them, and the daughter waited on me. 3 of the rings were 10k gold and the other was 14k. 2 of them had only amethyst, one had a pearl. And the other had 2 diamonds, not huge but real. She said the diamonds wasn’t worth anything, and for all 4 rings she would give $116.00, like I said I was late for an appointment. I know I will not get anything back because I was foolish and took it. I didn’t think about it until that night. And the next day I took the pictures to 4 other jewelry stores and they just looked at me like I was stupid, trust me I felt it. To me that is taking advantage of customers and with inflation how it is, that don’t say small town “family owned “to me.as an owner of a business myself, I could never have those business ethics. Every other place I went said I should have gotten at least $350. So beware of who you deal with. And I’ll try not to be in such a hurry next time, next time will not be here and yours...
Read moreI absolutely recommend Crystal Coin and Jewelers for all Jewelry needs. I took my ring in years ago when it was very bent after hitting my hand. The lady who helped me fixed my ring as I stood talking to her about a replacement stone in my engagement ring instead of my white topaz, and she didn't even charge me!
Years later I finally decided to change out the stone and the lady at the counter very patiently explained the different grades of Moissanite to me and gave me choices on what to order depending on quality and price point. I chose the one she recommended and she told me it would come in about 5-7 days, it came in 2. She then called and let me inspect it before putting it in. It was as gorgeous as the most beautiful picture I found on the internet. I was told it would be done by next week and they called me the next day saying it was done! I would have reviewed sooner, but I waste a lot of time staring at this ring. Thank you ladies, I LOVE...
