Pine Mountain Country Coffee House & Mercantile — Restaurant in River View Township

Seriously don’t waste your time. I love supporting small businesses and I had walked past this place a few times and finally decided to go in, and I regret it. I have a pretty severe allergy to gluten but I was told they had gluten free options for their ice cream so I thought I’d give it a chance. I went in with some friends only to find bits of waffle cone that had fallen into the other ice creams. I tried to look for another gluten free ice cream that didn’t have dropped waffle cone pieces in it only to find that it looked like some of the other ice creams had gotten into other ice creams. I don’t know if they use the same scoop or if it just falls in or what. Even if I wasn’t gluten free I don’t think I would order because having bits of other ice creams in my ice cream kinda seems icky. They did have other options, but to be honest they have WAYYYY to many options!!! You name it they sell it. Sandwiches, coffee, smoothies, ice cream, milkshakes, cookies, and I think even energy drinks?? Not to mention the store part of it. You know how Cracker Barrel had the restaurant and the store? Well imagine you took that store and put a few tables on it and crammed it all in one little store on Main Street. That’s pine mountain. From the moment we walked in I was overwhelmed with toys, candy, soap, honey, hot sauce, you name it. It’s very clear that the owner really only care about money. The store is not a relaxing environment at all, feels like one big advertisement. As soon as we walked in I immediately wanted to leave, it’s just cramped and uncomfortable. The staff are great though! My friend said the ice cream was pretty good. Honestly if you’re looking to get coffee though I would definitely have to recommend another local coffee shop. Corner cup and on the grind both are very close and are very nice coffee shops with much better coffee. For sandwiches I would recommend daily flavors (please support them I wanna keep them in town!!) and for ice cream riches is just up the road and they have amazing options!! If you wanna try this place out then go ahead, but be prepared for getting products shoved down your throat at every turn lol. Personally, I just don’t have a good experience. Since they don’t have a way to post reviews on Facebook. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Will never be eating or getting coffee from here again! Today your staff was very rude. The girl at the front desk wearing a red hoodie severely lacks customer service. Not once but twice ignored me and waited to take my order when she handed me the drink she refused to look at me. She was very aggressive and slamming things behind the counter. After leaving your place I tried the apple pie Frappuccino and it was undrinkable. My friends and I use to love coming to get coffee here but after being treated like garbage multiple times in your establishment we won’t be coming back. I'm giving three stars because I really love the chai tea lattes and staff is usually nice. However going there today was an absolute waste of time. There were tons of people waiting before we ordered so I should have known better. But we ordered and waiting about 15 minutes and no one even before us was getting their stuff. There were two girls working and one just continued to take order after order. I cannot fathom why you would pile on 20 orders when you can't even get one out. We finally asked for our money back. Only one person got a drink the 20 minutes we were standing there and she wasn't even started on their ice cream for that order.
