It’s so dissappointing to have to write this because i can honestly say this was one of my favorite places which is why i picked it as our dinner spot for my bachelorette party last night. I talked very highly of it to everyone and all the people that were with me last night were all very excited to eat there. Getting to the point here i have never been treated so poorly at a restraunt in my life. Both the hostess and manager working were as rude and as distasteful to me as you can get. When i walked in to ask for a table for 18 people the hostess immediatley off the bat says i cant do that. I of course said what do you mean you cant? She proceeds to tell me it may be close to an hour or more and i said ok thats fine we just need a table and can wait but i explained to her that i did try to call multiple times to make a reservation because its for a bachelorette party and was told something different by the 2 different people i talked to on the phone. The manager came up and started being rude and i told her that i was just explaining what happened and told her the same. So were sitting there waiting for over 30 mins or so at this point and i decide to go get a drink at the bar with my couple of friends that were already sitting there and the bartender was serving them and looked right at me and handed me water that i didnt ask for and does not ask if i want anything. A few minutes later she asks when the big day is and i ask if she is going to take my order.. she proceeds to tell me that the manager told her she cant serve me.. at my own bachelorette party when im not even driving anywhere and i certainly wasnt past the point of being served as i did nothing wrong except for try to explain my trouble i had with trying to reserve a table in advance. At that point i was not happy and we decided to go somewhere else because obviously they didnt want to take our money which is fine. I tell the hostess she can remove our name because we were leaving that rediculous place and that i wouldnt be coming back and that they really should treat customers better.. she tells me im harrassing her and that i need to leave or shes going to call the cops. Just crazy! And you really think thats right to do to the bride when she is trying to celebrate? Anyway save your money if you are a big party they apparently dont want your business and there are plenty of good restraunts with far...
Read moreEDITED after dining experience was completed: We will see...but if you need an ADA table, they don’t (go out of their way) to make any accommodations for you.
My original 1 star and 1 line review was done the evening of 4/10. Edits were colleges 4/11 bumped up the rating because their food is great and moist of their staff is super friendly and helpful.
Our party 8 included an individual who required a wheel chair accessible table. As the owner stated below, they are in an old building. We knew there were limited tables. And it’s Saturday evening. And they dont take reservations. All of that was known when we chose to eat here instead of ballpark village after the Cardinals game. Because: we love their food and beer selection! We also love the vibe and it’s locally owned.
I called 35 minutes before we parked to let the host know a party of 8, with ADA needs was on their way. I knew we weren’t getting on a list. That’s ok. I wanted to give a heads up for planning how they sat - if you’ve ever hosted or managed a full service restaurant...you get why this would be helpful. We arrive...it will be an HOUR wait ( covid has restricted the # of tables, we know) but we clearly see a table down the hall that would sit our party. A 4 top ahead of us was sat. Leaving another 4 too next to it unusable for the duration of their meal. Eventually my friend had to wheel around to check for other tables that would work and negotiate with some of the staff for us to be seated in less than an hour. HE FIGURED OUT A WAY TO MAKE IT WORK.
My reason for leaving a low rating is for that, because I gave them plenty of time to consider and plan and my friend had to negotiate accommodations. Which may not seem like much, but it shouldn’t have been necessary for a reasonable wait.
TBF the kids at the door are younger. The young busser/host was very friendly and kind. Our server was super and the food was as expected: fantastic! Raising my rating for...
Read moreI should have read the reviews on this one before trying. If you are not a beer and hamburger/french fry person, don't bother with this menu. It is over priced to say the least, for what you get AND what you get is NOT good. I ordered a Greek salad. What I got was basically a large bowl of lettuce, with a VERY small amount of feta cheese and 3 thin slices of red pepper. I asked what happened to the olives, onions, etc? They said they were out! They offered me a small bowl of string beans. I said okay, because this salad needed something. But that TOTALLY destroyed the Greek salad, if you want to call it that. I also ordered a glass of wine, asking the price. I was told a 6oz glass was $6, so I said okay. I also said that I would like a glass of club soda on the side to put in my wine. They brought me a 4 oz glass of wine and an 8 oz glass of club. I order wine all the time, so I can tell the ounces by eyesight. I did not want to complain too much. I also asked for balsamic vinegarette dressing on the side. My husband ordered a pound of wings and some fried mushrooms. He said the wings were just "ok" but would not want them again. He also ordered fried mushrooms, and for the price? You guessed it, very small portion. This web site says they have everything from steak to salmon. Forget that, the salmon was replaced with a $19 tuna steak! And no steak, although it would probably not have been good. When I got the bill, they had charged me $7 for the wine and $2 for 8 oz of club soda! Then $.50 for the salad dressing on the side. Yes, I got them to adjust the bill, but really $2 for 8oz of club soda for my wine? Don't bother with this place unless you want beer, hamburger &...
