While visiting from Chicago, our five year old Grandson noticed this store when we drove by (heading to a restaurant).
For some reason, he referred to it as ‘the Nintendo Store’ based on what he observed when passing by; he then starting requesting a visit to that store.
Two days later - on a Saturday morning - we visited Neat Stuff & Things, having no idea what to expect when we entered.
It is an amazing store! Collectibles, retro-video games, various cards for collecting, etc. etc. We were over-whelmed and our Grandson could barely figure out what to focus on.
After witnessing two customers who arrived to share rare Pokémon cards that they had discovered in their packs, along with the ‘celebrations’ that followed ….. we knew we were ‘in over our heads’.
The Owner noticed our apparent confusion and graciously - and generously - assisted our Grandson in getting some Pokémon cards & a small album to hold them in. Our Granddaughters were also benefactors of his generosity.
What a wonderful business - great folks and a very diverse and fascinating store. Hidden Gem - anywhere near Festus …. you should stop by!
Sincere Thanks & Kudos from Papa & Nana...
Read moreNeat Stuff and Things is hands-down one of my favorite spots to hang out, shop, and just vibe. The prices are honestly some of the best I’ve seen, whether you’re hunting for vintage video games, consoles, or Pokémon, Magic, Lorcana, Yu Gi Oh, or Dragon Ball cards, you’re getting solid deals every time.
The staff? Super friendly, helpful, and actually know their stuff. They’re always down to answer questions, celebrate a good pull with you, or help you track down that one game or card you’ve been after forever.
There’s also a free-to-play arcade (with a donation box if you want to show some love), a Red Bull fridge so you can grab a drink while you hang, and a candy machine for a little sugar hit.
It’s the kind of place you want to stick around in, whether you’re ripping packs at the counter, chatting with other collectors, or just browsing shelves full of cool and rare stuff. Definitely a...
Read moreAs '93 baby this store has so much nostalgia for me. It has a beautiful layout and is very open so it's never to crammed. If you love pokemon, this store has TONs of singles to choose from at a great price. If you're lucky, they even have some graded cards as well. Also, they stay current with the latest sets and usually are stocked with what you may be looking for. They also have a nice variety of 90s action figures. The store owner and his employees are all very kind and welcoming and I've never received anything but great service from them. I came in with my 2 year old who started getting antsy and the owner gave him an action figure for free and that made his day! I would give 6...
