
I am writing to express my profound disappointment with my recent experience here. While I understand that the owner attempted to accommodate my schedule by squeezing me in, the overall quality of service was unfortunately unacceptable.
My primary concern is the unsatisfactory condition of my braids. The final result fell significantly short of expectations, leading me to question the stylist's skill and training. Beyond the poor quality of the braids themselves, the entire experience was marred by unprofessional conduct from the owner. This included yelling and the aggressive handling of salon equipment, creating a disruptive and uncomfortable environment for all patrons. The unpredictable nature of the salon's atmosphere, with strangers potentially seated nearby, heightened my discomfort.
Furthermore, I was overcharged despite paying a deposit. This is particularly concerning given the salon's advertising that included a shampoo and blow-dry service. The absence of clear pricing and the unexpected addition of hidden fees resulted in a significantly inflated final bill. This lack of transparency is unacceptable and, frankly, dishonest. I was particularly disturbed to witness the owner charging a child extra for a blow-dry, when the child had stated that this service had been provided free of charge on a previous visit. This inconsistency in pricing is deeply troubling.
As a fellow Black business owner, I initially hoped to support this establishment and contribute to the success of a Black-owned salon. However, my multiple experiences have consistently fallen far below acceptable standards. The salonโs persistent lateness, chronic overbooking, and consistently poor customer service have created a pattern of negative interactions. The fact that late fees are imposed despite the salon's own habitual lateness is further evidence of its disregard for its clientele. I am also concerned that the overwhelmingly positive online reviews might be fabricated, given my own negative experiences. The owner's unpleasant demeanor and bizarre behavior contribute to the overall poor management of the salon, which is clearly reflected in the subpar work of some stylists. The stylist training appears inadequate, resulting in inconsistent quality of services.
In conclusion, I cannot recommend [Salon Name] to anyone seeking a quality salon experience. The disregard for customer time, money, and loyalty is evident, and the overall experience was profoundly negative. I hope this feedback will contribute to improvements in the future.

However, unfortunately my few experiences with this "salon" has been below average standards. To elaborate further..this "salon", lacks professionalism. Theyre never on time, ALWAYS overbooking,rude,poor customer service, I hope they dont have the audacity to charge late fees when theyre exceptionally late. Based on my previous experiences I wouldnt be suprised if the reviews are fraudulent. The owner is also very unpleasant, unprofessional and unapproachable to be an owner, her demeanor is very bizarre. That would explain why her stylist are underperforming due to poor management.
