Champion Wings & Fish — Restaurant in Georgia

I've never had wet lemon pepper wings until I ate here after moving to Jonesboro last summer. Hands down the best wet lemon pepper wings! My girlfriend's favorite is the shrimp topped cheeseburger combo with shrimp fried rice, 6 wings and a drink. It was about $19 when ordering on DoorDash but she loved it so much, we ordered it weekly.....until a few months ago when she noticed the burger was smaller despite the price being the same. Not sure what happened. I know we are 2 years into COVID but it ain't going anywhere anytime soon but skimping on products to save/make money isn't cool, especially when it affects regular customers.

However, despite that little hiccup, they still get 5 stars because the place is always clean, your food is always ready on time (they call you when it's ready) and hot and the ladies at the counter are always professional and pleasant AND I've never found a roach or hair in my food so that is a biggie for me. I haven't been back in months but if I ever do, I'd definitely get my wet lemon pepper wings and the shrimp fried rice. The peach drink they make is good too. The desserts are nothing to drive 30 minutes for but the wings and fried...

We went to Champion Wings & Fish after bowling at Funtime Bowling in the same plaza, since most of us were unable to get our wing orders. The customer service was great from the staff. We were able to taste a few of their wing sauces before placing the order upon request. We dined in because they had booths, which let the family hang out and chat a little longer.

I ordered a 2 piece swai combo with 6 sweet chili wings. It came with my choice of a soda & french fries. They also had the infamous lemonade, peach drink & red fruit punch. My son had a 6 pcs with fries (hot flavor) since he had ate right before next door. My husband ordered the 6 pcs spicy teriyaki with fries. My other relatives opted for other wing flavors with fries (spicy garlic & spicy teriyaki). Each combo came with a lot of french fries! It was worth it for the price.

My food was hot and fresh! I really liked the wing flavor choice and the swai. I also used the restroom to wash my hands and it was clean.

I will come back for wings or fish again if...

This is my first negative post, in which I was compelled to share my experience with this business. I called and spoke with the manager, where I explained my disappointments with the foods....wings were extremely small, fried too hard (after requesting not to be hard), only 4 shrimps in the small portion order and the peas were uncooked in the fried rice. The manager verified the order number and asked if I wanted a replacement, at which time, I gladly excepted. This is the punch line: she informed me to bring the food back and she would replace it. I told her that I was ten miles away and wouldn't be able to return today. She told me to bring the food back whenever I could and she would replace it. Really? Is this the way to treat unsatisfied customers when they complain about the quality of their food? There should have been other options offered AND ...not...
