Vicki's Nails — Local services in Riverdale

I guess keeping my nails done is not meant to be. My schedule causes me to work 12 hours a day 8am-8pm 6 days a week plus I'm a student, so on the rare occasion that I can get my nails done, I'm all in. I decided to come here after my sister told me good things about them. The work was good and after only 2 visits, I was sold on this place. Plus their hours worked for my schedule on my one day off. It was all good until this past week. I can admit I arrived at 6:20 ish on Monday 2/26/24, So I wasn't surprised when I was denied service. But today, Wednesday 2/28/24, I came here at 9:25am since they open at 9am and was told to come back in an hour. I'm sorry but I don't have an hour. I had to be at class at 11 then back to work. The whole point of me getting my nails done today was because I was denied Monday, and I was scheduled to take my graduation pictures today. I was so hurt about not getting service, that I didn't take my graduation pictures and I literally popped all my nails off. My schedule does not apply for me to come back whenever it is convenient for the owner. (Especially since my next off day isn't until March 7) I was not about to come back in an hour and have anxiety about being late for class. I was sold on this place since they opened earlier than everybody else. The problem is most nail salons hours are from 10-7 which is not in my time frame. I have one day off a week and imagine trying to get everything you have to do done, in one day. Getting my nails done just doesn't appear to be in the cards for me now or ever again.

However, if you are thinking about going to this place then go!! You can see I gave 4 stars because my review has nothing to do with their service. Today was just a bad day for me.

I went to Vicki’s Nails on Hwy 85 this morning. I was met by her daughter using nail polish to write signs saying We’re Closed with pink nail polish. I am not disrespectful so after sitting down for a while I asked her daughter was she the person I was waiting for and how long she would be. The owner then responded “ if you in a rush and not have time you come back later” My time is also valuable if she was busy doing something else than that was what should have been said. Ms. Vicki I have been in your shop and heard your unprofessionalism. You are not cleaning your shop during COVID19 Pandemic and insist that “those who want it clean should do it themselves” Sweetie you’ve done me a favor by not taking my business!

My daughter and I visited this place and I will never visit again. I didn't get what I asked for and once I said something the owner stated that they did not have the color after I showed them a photo of what I wanted. I had to get her to redo my daughter's eyebrows that she had done twice . One was up one was down. Eyebrows are 10 dollars for them to mess you up. I don't have a problem with the price I spend 120 on myself when I go to my regular nail shop. But their quality of work isn't worth what they charge. I spent 166 on me and my 14 year old. My daughter nails are fat doesn't look natural. And her pedicure is awful doesn't look like her dead skin...
