I ordered pool noodles yesterday on the website. 5 red, 5 orange. I actually didn't care what color they were. I just needed 10. After placing the order it said it would be ready in 6 hours. I waited and waited. I needed them for a craft night tonight. I figured 6 hours would be plenty because I wasn't ordering them to be shipped. I went into the store, found an employee and explained that I was here to pick them up. She asked if I had received a confirmation, I said no but it's been almost 24 hours. She said that the website isn't always right? I was like WHAT? 😳 I asked why wouldn't it be right? She called the manager up to the front, she explained that they don't have any orange and they have red but it's for Christmas. I asked the rhetorical question....why is it on your website if they're not for sale? Guess what I was told. You got it! The website isn't always right! I explained that it should be since you are allowing people to order online. The inventory should be accurate at all times. The manager went back to their inventory area and 5 minutes or so and she brought 5 red. No orange. She said that I would be credited back for what I didn't get. I said their system is backwards. Shouldn't be taking my money if something is out of stock. She was kinder than the first time she came to talk to me. I've been inside my share of Dollar stores around the holidays but this place looked like hell with walls I'm not OCD but I can now understand why this would drive them nuts. My only experience with this chain. I had my moment and it...
Read moreA Decent Stop for Affordable Finds at 5 Below
5 Below is a unique retail store that aims to offer a wide range of trendy products at budget-friendly prices, and my recent visit was a mixed experience. The store’s concept of selling items all priced at $5 or below is appealing, especially for those looking to find affordable gifts, snacks, or fun gadgets. I appreciated the variety of products available, from toys and tech accessories to beauty supplies and seasonal decor. The layout of the store makes it easy to browse, and I found several interesting items that caught my eye.
However, the quality of some products was inconsistent. While I did find some great deals, there were also items that felt cheaply made or not particularly useful. This can be a gamble when shopping at discount stores, as you might end up with products that don’t last long. Additionally, the store was a bit cluttered during my visit, with items scattered across the aisles, which made it challenging to navigate.
Another downside was the checkout process. Though the staff was friendly, there were times when the lines became long due to limited registers being open. Overall, 5 Below is a decent stop for budget shoppers, but it could benefit from better organization and a focus on quality control. I would rate my experience three stars, as it has potential but requires some...
Read moreI noticed i was charged for using bags. Your employee offered a big bag. Yes convenient. It was not disclosed that I was going to be charged for the bags. I asked the employee if it's posted that we are charged for bags because had I known that I would have brought in my reusable bags I had in my car. I didn't see at the check stands or on the front door. You really need to post it, train your employees to let us know, or stop charging us for bags. Probably the last time we come to a five below. I am honestly rethinking my purchase...
