I was really a fan of this place, but my service tonight was really discouraging... I am pregnant and I have celiacs, so making sure my food is safe is really important. We ordered online, I got a Tristan (mozzarella, Asiago, roasted peppers, mushrooms, and pesto) and added artichokes, olives, and diced tomatoes and requested cauliflower crust. I noted that gloves should be changed for an allergy. My husband picked up the order, only to find out when he got home that it also had spinach and red sauce on it. With those not being what I ordered, I worried about the crust. We took it back and were told they'd remake it right away. We waited, and waited, until an employee asked us if we'd already eaten. We explained that we were still waiting on our order. They informed us they had nothing complete and nothing in the oven. The employee who made our remake didn't know where it went and they figured someone else took our pizza. They then made the pizza again. They had lost our ticket and needed to know what it was again. They were now out of diced tomatoes and slapped on a bunch of sliced ones, along with the most giant pieces of mushrooms I've seen on food (I had to pick them off because they overwhelmed everything), and basically cut the pizza into 3 giant pieces. When they handed us the pizza, the guy was kind enough to apologize for "two messed up pizzas" and to compensate for that, to add insult to injury, slapped two moon pies (they call No Name Cake) on my box that are chock full of gluten! Dude, after making my same pizza 3 times and being cautioned I have celiacs, what the heck?! I don't think I'll be as eager to go back soon.

We ordered online and went to Mod Pizza for the first time today. Ordering online was easy. The price point is good for the pizza, the Greek side salad is a bit overpriced. The order was ready pretty much on time. The clerk asked for the name on the order and said it would just be a few minutes more. Once the pizzas were boxed, he handed them to my husband and walked away. My husband had to tell him we also have a side salad and two no name cakes. The clerk gave him the salad and then told him that he could pick up the cakes by the cash register himself. I had also ordered two packages of crushed red peppers that my husband was not aware of, and so they were not given to him. All of these things were set on the pizza boxes… the salad dressing, and a container of pesto that we did not order, so when my husband came out of the store, he was carrying two pizzas, two cakes, a salad and two cups of dressing, all balancing on top! Attention was needed by the clerk to what the order was. They need a bag for the other items to be carried out. The pizza crust was thin, as ordered, it didn’t have a great pizza crust flavor or chew, it was disappointing. The toppings were fine. I ordered Mike’s favorite pizza and it came with different cheeses on it, the distribution was not very good. I only had a few hints of the ricotta cheese. The no name cakes were like a large ding dong. The chocolate one was tasty, the limited offering red velvet cake was not very good. I had such high hopes for this place as it was highly recommended by family. The pictures were taken after the fact, I apologize.

What I like about MOD Pizza is the same as what I don’t like about it. You have the control to customer your own pizza and watch them make it. I guess you have that control with any pizza place, but here you watch them make it in a Subway style environment. Looking at all the toppings makes you more adventurous and you can experiment with flavors you’d never have tried together otherwise. The downside to this is that sometimes your choices end up not tasting good together. I prefer to have the professionals who understand better how flavors work together make my dishes. That being said, they do have classic recipes you can pick instead of making your own. The place is clean, the staff is friendly and the price is very reasonable- no charge for extra toppings. The reason I’m giving three stars is because of the big hair I found on my pizza. That’s one of the most unappetizing things to experience in a restaurant. Also, there’s better pizza. Come here when you want a quick, less expensive, but still gourmet pizza. We will likely come back (we eat a lot of pizza) but next time I’ll get something on the menu rather than making my own.

Split about my opinion. Let's start with the food.... it was really good. The service, not so much. We went about 45 min prior to a school concert and after waiting in line that was not moving we left. After the concert we went back to try again. The line was twice as long. We waited over an hour to place our order. They were very understaffed and come to find out the 2 girls taking orders and prepping pizza and salads had only worked 2 weeks. They kept asking us what when on the pizza or in the salad. The bins with food were nearly empty and a mess. We had 8 items to cook and the first 2 pizzas were out of the oven before the rest were even ready to go in the oven. The garlic strips were overcooked. Needless to say, our party of 6 did not really get to eat together due to the utter chaos. The girls while we were in line mentioned that hours had been cut. For a new restaurant trying to make a positive impact in a community and success for their business should have allowed the person in charge to call in for additional help. The staff/management/owners needs to be aware of community events that might increase their traffic flow and plan accordingly. I did ask and receive a 15% discount. Would I go there again? Yes, to see if they made any improvement to their operation. If I had the same experience, I would not go back a third time. That message would be loud and clear that they don't care about their customers, only about the...
