I went in today to return a sweatshirt that I had gotten from the Draper Ross 5 days prior. I was the only one in line while the cashier finished up with the person in front of me which returned at least 5 clothing items. The cashier was putting on sensors and hanging them up so I continued to wait at the line. Little did I know she was asking me if I was ready, she was very very quiet and I wasnât sure if she was talking to me but since she was clearly busy, I did not want to go up and make her feel rushed. She then turns to me and asks louder this time if I was ready so I say yes and I hurry and go up (at this point she was still putting on sensors and hanging clothes up so Iâm not sure why she was in such a hurry to get me to go up when I was perfectly fine waiting for her) I let her know I have a return, gave her the sweatshirt WITH the tag still attached and my receipt. She finishes up what she was doing and tosses my receipt to the side without looking at it and just stares at the tag on the sweatshirt for a good 10 seconds. Then proceeds to tell me that the tag says âjr s/s knitâ and points to her own shirt and says she canât accept this return. I had no idea what she was talking about and asked her what she meant and she just kept saying because the tag says that, they canât do the return because the sweatshirt isnât knit??? I still have no idea what sheâs talking about so I tell her I just got this sweatshirt from another Ross.. then she raises her voice and rudely tells me âthen go to that Rossâ okay what? Whatâs with the attitude?? Does she actually think I switched the tags with something else to get that $13 back?? I have a life and donât spend my time doing stuff like that. I can afford anything I wanted in that store. Be so for real right now. Didnât get her name but have a description of her - in her late 50s probably, Hispanic, grey bob hairstyle, around 5â3. I was so shocked that she was being so rude for no reason that I just walked out. The more I thought about it, I wanted to speak to the manager. I even checked the receipt and tag number and what do you know, they MATCHED. But the lady didnât even bother to check! So I walked back in and the first person I see was the manager so I told him what happened and he said no we can totally do the return and so he did! Thank you so much!! Reason why I gave 2 stars instead of 1. Maybe donât let the lady I described do your returns, she handled this situation very poorly and needs to be retrained. I will not be returning to this Ross. Iâll stick to TJ Maxx since theyâd never do this đ
Edit: I was recording after I went back into Ross and the lady talked in Spanish to the manager which I caught on recording but I donât know Spanish so I showed my husband who does know Spanish and he translated her saying âshe wonât let it go will sheâ like trying to get him not to let me return the sweatshirt. So rude...
Read moreAn Average Shopping Trip at Ross Dress for Less
Ross Dress for Less is often considered a go-to destination for bargain hunters, and my recent visit was a mixed bag. The store offers a wide variety of clothing, shoes, and home goods at discounted prices, which is undoubtedly a significant draw. I found some stylish clothing items and decent accessories at prices that were hard to beat, making it clear that Ross has the potential to deliver great value.
However, the overall shopping experience left something to be desired. The store felt cluttered and disorganized, with items scattered across various sections. This made it challenging to navigate and find what I was looking for, and I often had to dig through racks to locate specific sizes. The home goods section was similarly chaotic, with items piled on top of each other, making it less appealing to browse.
Another downside was the checkout experience. Although the staff was friendly, the lines were long, and there seemed to be a shortage of cashiers during busy hours. This contributed to a feeling of frustration as I waited to complete my purchase.
In summary, while Ross Dress for Less offers excellent deals and a wide selection of products, the disorganization and checkout issues detract from the overall shopping experience. I would rate my visit three stars, as it has great potential but requires improvements in store organization...
Read moreOn my way to the dressing room, 3 girls walked past me (one of them working & the other two were friends of the employee). I heard them saying inappropriate things as I was walking by. I noticed the dressing room was closed for cleaning, so I turned around and one of the girls laughed and said âShe canât try anything on hahahahaâ. I know people can be immature, so I brushed it off. But⊠10 minutes later I walked back to see if the dressing room was open. I asked the same employee that I walked by earlier if I could go inside. She said yes and on my way in her friend repeated what I said in a mocking voice & had the audacity to say âIâm so glad that I donât work here so that I can make fun of the customers.â When I was in the dressing room the three girls walked in & were in a stall talking about inappropriate things again. The dressing rooms were also not clean with a bunch of tags, clothes, & hangers spread out in the stalls and...
