The UPS Store — Local services in Riverwoods

I'm in my 60s, and this is without a doubt, the best UPS facility I have ever used. This is the second time I've gone there. I no longer live in the area, but when I'm up visiting my family, occasionally I have to ship something back home.

A little over a week ago I took some items that I did not have a box for. They went to the trouble to arrange my items in the most economical fashion possible. They charged me six dollars for the materials they needed, and in my opinion, after receiving my box and seeing how expertly it was packed, and with the degree of care they took, I honestly feel they should've charged me more. Not only for the main box that housed my items, but also for a bubble wrap envelope inside of an additional box they included for some books. I was honestly stunned when I received my box and opened it up.

I had also shipped some items one of the previous times I was in town (that time I had my own box) after trying one or two other UPS places in the area. They all pale in comparison to this location..

I've read some negative reviews on here and I really don't know what these people are talking about.

These guys couldn't be more friendly or accommodating, they excel at what they do, and their pricing is beyond fair and reasonable.

We seem to live in a world where nobody is good at their job anymore, or even seem to care whether they are, or not. Not here. It's a pleasure giving them...

DO NOT GO HERE HORRIBLE OWNER

Went in to see if I could print off a file from UPS STORE online account. Asked the person working there about it. They responded that they didn’t have any idea what I was talking about. I tried to explain but the person who I later found out was the owner got rude and said that the don’t do that type of thing. Online it shows that they offer internet access but there is none. I wanted to print something from the UPS STORE online account they had no clue how to do this. I tried to explain and the store owner got rude. As I left he continued to insult me and call me an idiot for using the online ordering site that UPS store offers on there web page. That’s when I asked for his name and he told me that he was the owner. NEVER GOING HERE AGAIN. I would not trust them with anything important. Horrible...

Very rude employees. When I walked in 2 women were complaining about some policy. The 2nd employee helped me right away, but i wasn't sure how to do the return I was working on. I told him it was my first time using this service and he was completely unhelpful. He actually got mad at me for not knowing what I was doing and said he didn't work for the other company. Which is true, but its your partnership with them. Learn how to help customers using services you offer in partnership with other businesses. He also yelled at the women complaining and helped a 3rd customer instead of doing the return with me. Overall, just because some other customer is being a pain, doesn't mean you can take it out on...
