Hang 10 Hawaiian Ice & Cream — Local services in Roanoke

Apparently this place has really gone down hill. My friend, my son, and I went today to try it for the first time, and we were less than impressed.

We ordered 2 burgers, a kids hot dog, and happy hour fries. I noticed that several of the tables were dirty right off the bat. Being that we were the only ones there, you'd think there would be time to wipe them down.

A guy brought out our burgers, and the first thing I noticed was that there were no condiments on it. The hot dog also had nothing on it.

Whatever buns they use, first off, were cold and secondly, they were gross. Our burgers were raw so we had them remade.

The second ones were cooked, but flavorless. The fries had potential but they were very greasy and barely warm.

The hot dog itself was fine, but some mustard or something would have been cool. We used the last 2 ketchup packs to try to help our sad burgers.

We went for a walk and came back for dole whip, thinking that couldn't be messed up. Well, they were out. I ordered their special flavor shaved ice, and like some others said, the girl had no idea what that was.

It was ok. My friends barely had any flavoring on it and it was the consistency of a snow cone and not shaved ice, but she didn't want to return another item.

I don't see any responses from the new owners regarding all these negative comments, but it seems something needs to be done because we will not be back if it...

Sorry new Hang 10 owners (owners of green goat) you cant ride the coat tails of the previous owners reviews and how great they were because you’re just not doing it right. I’ve been back twice since reopening in 2025 and it’s been less than mediocre. The dole whip is good but the food is just not good at all. Ordered the Puka burger last night and it was not good- no potato bun, no seasoning and the burger was cold. I had the puka dog a week ago and pretty much the same story- no potato bun way too much of the mustard like, what are you thinking by putting that much on a hot dog. The fries were so bland and I used to tell everyone this was the best place for fries. Not to mention last night I was charged for a $5 fry that I did not order but my receipt didn’t get emailed to me until I got home. I went here at least once or twice a week every week last summer because of how great everything was and unfortunately now, I’ll stop by for dole whip but...

My wife had left a review but I wanted to come and leave one as well. I have known the inside and outs of this building far before there was ever a hang 10 this building used to be smileys. Smiley was a older gentleman who worked on bikes and had a bike shop here for a long time I grew up hanging out with smiley the building that hang10 is now in so getting to see both sides bulding before and after I was sad to see my great friend smiley leave the property but extremely glad to have a wonderful place like hang 10 come in and I can say that since the first year that they opened up, I have been going to hang10 and I have always loved the quality of the Hawaiian burger it’s one of my favorite burgers in town and I have always loved the shaved ice so not to sure where all the bad reviews are coming from recently regarding service but I love hang 10 and am very glad to be able to tell my story about what the building used to be thank you all have a...
