Beijing Restaurant — Restaurant in Roanoke

Disregard some of the whiny and absurd low ratings by some on here. Smelling like smoke is caused by the heat used to cook in a wok. It creates a mild smoke smell and and flavor which is delicious. When was the last time any of us has called or visited a Chinese or Asian restaurant and they spoke perfect English. That just doesn't happen too often, so get over it. Also, if this restaurant doesn't want to deliver to your area, then that is there choice and not something they should get a bad review for. Now, for an honest and real review. My family and I have dined in only once and found it to be ok as far as service and ambiance goes. However, we have had takeout from there many times and I can say with certainty, due to traveling a lot and having Asian and Chinese cuisine at many locations. That this place has some of the best, if not the best Chinese food in Roanoke. Some specific examples are; They hands down have the best lo-mein in town, because of the delicious taste and due to them using authentic lo-mein noodles instead of cheap spaghetti noodles, like most of the Chinese restaurants in the area do. They also have some of the best General Tso's in the area because they take the time to reduce the sauce while cooking it, so it's not so runny, plus it tastes amazing. Furthermore, the prices are very good and the amount they give you is definitely better than most in the area. They don't just give you a little square takeout box (the little red and white ones we have all seen) for your main course, they fill up an entire large styrofoam to go box for the "large/quart" orders. Considering all these things, my family and I all agree this is our favorite Chinese restaurant in the area, especially so...

I would notGo to this establishment for anyting to eat. We ordered two general chicken combos a teriyaki chicken on a stick a garlic shrimp combo. We ordered in person waited over 25 min for order. Got home what we received was a general chicken combo a garlic shrimp combo no egg roll and some kind of red meat and rice and a gummy brown sauce chicken combo. We call back they literally asked if we know what general chicken looks like. I'm sitting in front of the food and can tell they are completely different and taste completely different. So rude and unprofessional and this was after they took my name # and what was wrong . . I will never go back and will be sure to spread the word. If I could give this place no stars I definitely would. I don't know how this place stays in business seems a little sus to me. The food taste awful. You get exactly what you pay for. The price is low and you get the biggest portions I have ever seen coming out of a restaurant. I live pretty close and I never see them have any business so you won't have to wait in line. They share a building with Southwest Market. Most of the cars are from the convenience store. Inside looks scary. It's low lighting and seems kinda damp. Kinda like a basement or a dungeon.
