It's great if you have certain hobbies but very much lacking or underwhelming for others... That being said if you are the type of person who enjoys sewing of all kinds, faux floral arrangement, and all the Christmas-Thanksgiving-Hallpween stuff you can handle this store is amazing. I however like to build scale models and do some painting and it really shows Hobby Lobby plays favorites on what stuff fills the shelves. I've been coming to this particular location semi regularly for years now and sadly the sections I enjoy seem to get smaller and smaller over time and the items they do stock have gone down in quality to match. The model building section is restocked seemingly at random and the more "high quality" brands like Tamiya, Vallejo, and general amount of model kits themselves are fading away. The model railroading section which used to have a wide range of miniature scenery crafting/diorama making and actual Trains is a sad shadow of former glory with only 2 basic train sets and some very dodgy plastic trees and such.
Even the painting section leaves a bit to be desired of. They do have a wide selection of liquitex brand their artist's touch/master's touch house brand which is great for folks getting started or needing little odds and ends. But it would great if they stocked more products from even brands like Windsor Newton or Golden. Because for what it's worth you can go to Michaels arts and crafts just up the road and get the same selection they offer here, cheaper most of the time.
TLDR: Great store for a few select hobbies but seems like it's slowly turning into a knick-knack, well isn't that adorable, store as time goes on, and not a...
Read moreDear Hobby Lobby Team, I’m writing to express my disappointment with a recent experience at your store involving a cashier named Emma. I’ve always loved shopping at Hobby Lobby, but during this visit, Emma accused me of stealing a plastic basket despite my explanation that it was my own. To my surprise, the basket was clearly not new and even showed visible damage.
To my dismay, Emma showed no remorse or willingness to apologize for her accusation. What troubles me further is the possibility that this assumption was influenced by my skin color. I have carried this same basket through multiple stores, including Michaels, Joann, and this Hobby Lobby location, on numerous occasions without issue. I am deeply concerned about this treatment and urge you to address this matter to ensure a welcoming environment for all customers.
She rung up the items. I said to her
“ You could just put everything in this basket, it helps save a tree”
She said “You want to buy this basket too”
“It’s mine, you see it’s already ripped”
After Emma rung up all the items, put everything in the basket
She went ahead asked one of her co worker Olivia the cashier next to her
Emma asked “ Olivia do we sell this basket?”
Olivia replied “...
Read moreLady ringing me at front checkout/return desk was very rude and moody. I don’t know if it was her first day or she was just training at the time and overwhelmed. I came into purchase 3 to 4 items and as I was going to check out, I noticed one of the items was damaged so I asked her if I could just run and grab the same exact one in an upfront aisle just that wasn’t damaged. She told me if I left I would have to wait behind more customers after already waiting in a line to begin with. The next customer (which was the customer behind me) had a cart load full of crafts..when I only had three or four things to scan and then had to rewait behind them. At the end of me checking out, I realized my credit card was left in my car and I asked if they had Apple Pay she shook her head no. I told her I’m sorry I just can’t purchase these things because then I have to go to my car and who knows how many other customers I’d have to wait behind after returning. She just took the items off the counter and slammed them in a cart beside her and I walked out of the store. I love Hobby Lobby and have never had an experience like this before and I hope she will get a better attitude towards customers...
