🌾 A True Gem in Rockford! 🌾 The Forest City Farmers Market is hands-down one of the best ways to start your weekend in Rockford! From the moment you arrive, you’re welcomed by the warmth of local vendors, the smell of fresh produce and baked goods, and the vibrant sense of community. Whether you’re hunting for farm-fresh fruits and veggies, unique handmade gifts, beautiful flowers, or a delicious pastry and coffee, there’s something here for everyone. I especially love how each booth has its own personality — you can truly feel the heart and soul behind every small business. What makes this market even more special is how it supports local farmers, makers, and creators. The market is not just a place to shop, but a place to connect, learn, and celebrate Rockford’s local talent. Can’t wait to keep coming back every week! šŸŒ»šŸ›ļøšŸ“ Highly recommend!

This was our first year as a vendor at the Forest City Farmers Market, and it has been such a welcoming experience! We (Daughters Heritage) are a small, home-garden grower of veggies and fruits—and it has been so rewarding to share our goodies with the community each week. Customers appreciate the quality of homegrown produce, and it’s wonderful to see people excited about fresh, local food again. One of the best parts of this market is how kind and supportive the other vendors are. Everyone is genuinely happy to help each other, share advice, and encourage new vendors, which makes a big difference when you are just getting started. It truly feels like being part of a group of farmers who care about the community and each other, and we’re grateful to be part of it. Highly recommend stopping by and supporting this market!

I LOVE being part of this market. With 45+ vendors and growing this market has it all. Not only do I get to share and demo my Norwex products but also support my vendor friends. We work so well together supporting our goods. Some of my favorites (and this list is growing weekly) are canned pickles/jams from Rose, pies from Sweet Susan, micro-greens, beef tallow, Monat, girly hair bows, hand crafted wood creations and charcuterie boards, flowers, produce, Pampered Chef and don't forget the food trucks. This market is not to be missed. On the corner of Newburg & South Apline Fridays 9-1pm.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ One of the BEST Farmers Markets Around!

The Forest City Farmers Market is truly a hidden gem! Every Friday from 9 AM to 1 PM (through the end of October), this market offers an amazing variety of local goods and handmade treasures.

You’ll find everything from fresh produce, farm-fresh eggs, Angus ground beef, turkey, and chicken to homemade sourdough bread, baked goods, pepper sauces, and even old-fashioned licorice.

There are beautiful handmade items like candles, wooden toys, 3D printed creatures, sterling silver rings, layered artwork, crocheted pieces, tumblers, and adorable bows for little girls. You’ll also see favorites like Norwex, Pampered Chef, and Monet on display.

The plant and flower selection is fantastic, with plenty of hanging baskets and potted options to brighten your space.

Don’t miss the food trucks! There’s authentic Mexican and Greek food available, with vegan options—absolutely delicious. And for your morning coffee fix, Rockford Roasting Co. is on-site serving up top-notch brews!

It’s a perfect mix of fresh, local, handmade, and delicious. Super friendly vendors, a great community feeling, and something for everyone. Highly recommend checking it out!

šŸ“ Located at the northeast corner of South Alpine and Newburg in Rockford, IL.

I discovered this farmers market about 3 years ago.

I truly enjoy that there is a variety of items for everyone. some of my favorites are Handmade Mexican Clothes by Artesanias Ameliah, she's got such great and colorful variety of items that are great for any occasion and for anyone in the family, from newborn to an adult.

You will also find Rockford's Favorite & voted Rockford's BEST in 2024, Cali Sas Homemade Chamoy!!! swing by and pick up the bold, sweet and sour flavors of Cali Sas Chamoy, with the mouthwatering rim dips, chamoy gummies, and in the summer time, her chamoy fruit cups, which are a huge hit! but wait, it gets better.... the delicious chamoy is made with Rockford peaches that Laura herself grows in her back yard.

so make sure you swing by for sure if you're a Chamoy lover or even just a tad bit curious, stock up on all the locally made goodness at her booth. She offers pickle kits, party trays & a Chamoy fountain too for all your party needs.

swing on by and visit these lovely ladies every friday 9-1pm till the end of October, YOU WONT BE...
