Hobby Lobby — Local services in Rockford Township

The 40% off coupon was why I preferred this hobby shop over Joanns or Michael's. They've now gotten rid of that because according to them "Most of our items are on sale constantly." Which is true, my go to were model kits and cosplay foam which alternate being 40% off every other week. But all the model/airbrush paint is never on sale and thats what I'd used the coupons on because that stuff is pricey. Now I just resort to Royal Hobby for my airbrush paint.

The store itself is kind of like a mix between Joanns and Michael's. Has more variety than Michael's but lacks in any coupons (which currently so does Michael's.. So no reason to shop there anymore.). Also sells fabric but not as much as Joanns. Seasonal section is very big and their floral decor is very large as well (typically 50% off like every other week). Home decor covers about half of the store with several pieces of furniture on display as you enter the store. Definitely my go to hobby store for my cosplay needs. And better yet gundams on sale! This location is great for last minute crafting supplies but I have found similar products online for cheaper. This location is always out of stock of something I need. Especially T-Shirts & Vinyl. I do love the clearance section. They could also have more registers open so they lines would be shorter. Last time I came in the little boy I babysit slipped in a puddle. It looked like it had been there awhile. There was another spill on the other side. Not one wet floor sign or any employee around to clean it up. I had to mention to the cashier because I couldn't find any other employees to let them know. The floors always have boxes in the isle, it's hard to get around in my walker or walking down them. I don't drive so I got a lyft to hobby lobby just me and my baby. I did my shopping spent over 100 dollars of my hard earned money in that store, just to be told that I couldn't simply plug my phone in for a simple five minutes so that I could get me and my baby a ride home. Well whoever was on the radio I'm guessing the manager or supervisor, goes to say "we are not liable for that" like are you kidding me I'm a customer I just needed a ride home after I already spent money in your store. So what did I have to do walk with bags and a car seat to the next store in the cold so that I could try to charge my phone to get home .
